Very nice! But I last two zombies were showing outside the borders and couldn't kill them :(
Those crafty zombies! Heh, thanks I know they can sneak out from time to time; just have to suicide and try for a higher score ;) My best is 640 btw
Hi @windwalkerranger, that er - feature - should be fixed now, thanks for pointing it out. V annoying not to be able to beat the game when it's deserved ;)
Ah man, this felt good to play. THe sounds are good, and the feeling of the gat gun is well tuned.
Thanks for the excellent comments! I loved making this game, LD is such an excellent community
Nice shooter. It can be a little hard seeing who's human and who's zombie, but that's probably the point.
This is fun, a cool idea, miniguns are always cool. Great effort!
Very nice. Really good zombie killer. Clever use of theme as a core mechanic! Nice!
Good old minigun... Gotta love it :) Nice little zombie slaying game. Extra points for choosing the right gun :)
Thanks for the awesome comments! My favourite minigun scene of all time has got to be in PREDATOR when Mac tries to get even for Blaine's untimely demise.... "Contact!!!"
@ocmu Yeah I agree it's a bit difficult to tell sometimes, the game started off much brighter but I felt adding the gloaming darkness added to the atmosphere at the expense of clarity- I tried to strike a balance but it's not easy in the time ;)
@somepx Thanks for playing! Yeah Cannon Fodder was one of those formative gaming experiences that stayed with me from back in the day ;)
I particularly enjoyed the sound effects. The gun and the zombie groans were excellent. The dark setting worked quite well. You put a lot of thought into this and it shines through in the game.
well made, great atmosphere, not sure if it really fits the theme though
@badlydrawnrod Thanks! The zombie groans are my 6 month old daughters little noises slowed down in Audacity, high five to fellow father -daughter team!
Great submission. I love the graphics but it might need to be scaled up a bit. Overall really fun and a cool little app
Took me a little while to figure out how to fire the gun (it sounded to me like it needed ammo) but once I did it was pretty fun.
Wow. This is freaking awesome! The concept of shooting also humans is so simple... yet totally a game changer. Liked a lot! (Where can I buy this :D)
Very nice. I'd like the canvas to have been a little bigger so that I could see what was going on a bit more. But good fun none the less.
Great entry! The slow movement and windup of the gun really added to the intensity. Made me realize that a minigun may in fact NOT be the weapon of choice at a zombie infestation. Who knew? ;)
Nice game, very well polished. I thought the humans were zombies at first, but got the hang of it soon.
Hard to save more or twenty uninfected human. Chalenging and funny game. OMG! Your 6 month old daughter is infected?? :P. Good job!
It's very fun indeed, and well polished, but the window is a little too small for my eyes.Good job!
ps-i answered your question in the YOGO PATH comments.
Hey pretty solid stuff. The gatling feels rad! At leas i didnt fail in saving the humanity like in other games ^^
Thanks for the comments all!
@Toureiro - really useful comment, ta! Have added the word "HOLD" to the instructions. Thanks @sollux for the suggestion ;)
Haha, that was awesome! Took me a while before I figured out not everything that moved was a zombie.... :D Oh well, I guess a bit of collateral damage is expected when the zombie apocalypse is nigh! The machine gun is perfectly tuned!
Took me four tries until I figured out what I was supposed to do (hold down the mouse to shoot - there's a delay), but FUN once I got the hang of it. Had to refrain from shooting everything that moved and only shoot the zombies - ha! Scored over 800. Great eerie music and gruesome sounds - lots of atmosphere.
PS. Time lapse video of the process is a nice touch.
Really nice shooter, and the pixel art is top notch! And it's challenging with all the human/zombie mixing as well. A complaint would be the theme usage is pretty weak, but other than that it's a great entry for 48 hours!
Very well done, the """""game feel""""" was great. Shooting the minigun and killing the zombies was visually and aurally enjoyable. well done.
pretty satisfying little pixel shooter. The audio was starting to grate on me though.
I think there is a bug perhaps with flash runtimes... When I click to shoot I hear an electronic typewriter and nothing happens. The arrow points towards some units and when I get close they kill me. I think that the gun is supposed to shoot but it doesn't. I bet this game is really fun when the gun works :D It looks great for 15 hours of effort as well.
Liked the mini-gun but found the size of the game-window to be too small.
Pretty fun top down shooter and the wind-up/delay before firing your minigun as well as the slow movement to simulate walking with a heavy piece of equipment was a rather nice touch.
@doctorscientist It's no bug, you just have to HOLD left click to shoot ;) Please have another go I'd really value your feedback!
@solluxx @daredevildave @cesisco @Spelchan YOUR WISH IS GRANTED!! I've added a 3X view option. Fwiw, I prefer it too !!
yes it does work. awesome. i have no idea what was going on before. it seems it was a case of PEBCAK
Like the ida since it creates some nice situations where you have to shoot zombies while they are close to humans. The grahpics, weapon and sound are pretty nice. The gameplay is not much, there is only really one thing in the game you can do and is not particularly hard. Would be nice with some boss or some other thing to add to the gameplay.
Wow. That was really fun and satisfying. Definitely one of my favorites.
Really nice game, very smooth. I love the sound effect of the gun when it starts! Lovely mood, the gameplay is great too, though you could have added more enemies/bosses so it's less repetitive, but I enjoyed the game anyway, good job! :D
I died miserably :(
I liked it, very simple graphics and its funny. Great job :)
<3 for zombie games. I like the idea of only having a minigun that roots you. I'm really bad at this one though, I think my best score was like 95/1000. :P Works really well for what it's trying to do, only niggle I have is that the tree hitboxes might be a little big.
Beautiful, addicting and fun! also one of the BEST gun sound i heard.
There is something so satisfying about the sound of the minigun firing and spinning down :)
Cool game. You handle the minigun effects really well. Nice graphics and sound.
Very Nice Little Game!
I like the graphics and the mood. At first I was like "easy game, I just have to kill everybody", then I figured out that not everyone was a zombie... Hard game (those zombies are daaaaamn fast), but very fun! Congrats on putting this in 15 hours only!
BTW, what kind of Flash framework did you use? Flixel?
First time I just killed everybody.. :-D And it was still fun when I realized that's not necessary.. Nice game.
@drludos thanks for the great feedback! Yeah I had trouble with getting the "humans turn into zombies" thing across- needs a little cut scene I think. I used the "Axel" framework by Arkeus
Great game! I like the concept, especially the weapon warm up is nice. After seeing your post on the front page, I expected a much harder game. It's challenging to save as many people as possible, but it's not too hard to win. So I can't understand why people would quit after a few seconds without trying again. But I noticed a similar behavior with my game, many people played less than 10 seconds. Another thing I have to agree with your analysis: The space on the right hand side of the level seems wasted indeed. Maybe you should work with multiple zones/a grid and activate the movement of people and zombies only when the player enters the zone.
@loxo thanks for the insightful comment and honest appraisal! That's a great idea re instancing, hadn't thought of that :)
Nice! This game is fun! I like the delay with the gun, and how it forces you to change your tactics.
Too bad for those innocent civilians I murdered...

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.
MORE TIPS AND DETAILS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
i lek it fun geme well done. how can i be zomebie thouhgt?
