Invalid Identity

A 'run and gun' type game focusing largely on stealth.

You are an agent sent by a private corporation during the global financial crisis to erase all of the corrupt CEOs from history to restore the economy, and your companies stocks. However, you only have one 'time bullet' for each CEO, and if you miss, you fail the level.

WASD/Arrow keys to move,
left click to fire normal bullets,
right click to fire your only time bullet,
press shift to crouch (makes you walk slower, but harder to detect),
and press control to lie down (you can't walk or shoot, but you can't be detected if you haven't already been detected).

Cream soda is awesome!
I think you did a nice job! Java is a good choice as it allows the game to be single-file multi-platform. I should do Java too.. :)
The music is neat, and the game works well, though I died before getting to kill anyone, but I'll try again now :D
I like the raycasting ^_^

This is a great application of the game. You even gave time to justify the one bullet, I like it.

Graphics are a bit annoying. The ray-casting sight works well, and the particle effects are nice, but its really hard to navigate anywhere. It would be nice to see the layout of the level, even if we can't see enemies outside our sight range.

The text got a chuckle or two out of me.

The music is nice, but I honestly muted my speakers for actual gameplay. The footstep noise becomes bleating after a short while.

This is a solid entry. It seems very polished and I quite enjoyed playing it.

I really enjoyed this game, thank you! The ray-casting lighting was rally effective at making me feel lost - it was hard though, perhaps allowing the walls to fade out slowly like an after-image once highlighted just a little bit? The controls are really good and the combat was satisfying with good sounds and effects. I also really appreciated your amusing comments on success/death - the whole concept of destroying corrupt CEOs from the timeline was great fun :) I'd like to have seen more variety in the graphics with proper sprites etc.. the core experience is tight and has legs

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
