A dark gritty re-interpretation of online social MMOS for a gritty re-interpreted generation.
Where you only get ONE SHOT. Would you go for it, or just let it slip?

Ok, so, I kinda skimped on the actual game instructions, but it seems like people have more fun with this game when they just do whatever so I wanted to keep people a bit in the dark.

Also I'm lazy and MultiMedia Fusion is the worst tool I ever...

*grumble* my game sucks *grumble*

that said, The game can be controlled with a controller or keyboard, I like the controller better, but the keyboard works fine.

Z is select/grab, NPC X is to back out of a menu, or to interrogate a NPC at the table. C is to run, and V sends the NPC back to their original location (so you can keep track of them)

I'd complain about all my "game design hardships" here, but you know, I'm inexperienced, and I finished it, so that's all I can hope for.

It also should be noted I stopped caring 2 thirds of the way through my game, I just wanted to finish it.

After I figured out the control scheme, I had a lot of fun with the game! The theme was incorporated well, the gameplay was fun and original, and I didn't find any bugs.

Nice game! :D

@ParaPup, yeah my goal was just to finish it, I kinda let my code get convoluted, and in MMF, (at least the way I do things) that makes it very slow. I plan on remaking this game in java now that I have time, and see if I can make something really special.

I really liked the music and that you could gather nothing. However I didn't get to interact much with the NPCs. Some seemed to react to e.g. wine, but they just followed me for a little bit. In other words, the game needs to show a little more how it is supposed to be played. Also the text was really absurdly tiny on my computer, so being able to scale it up some would have been nice. A good start though.

A general comment: The way Ludum Dare works you need to rate games to get rated! Currently you only have 5 people rating your game because you haven't rated any yourself. So to get a fair assessment your game's qualities you need to hurry and rate at least 20 games. And be sure to leave comments as people tend to rate back!

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.


TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
