Super Paper!

by FakeHair - 48 Hour Compo Entry

Super Paper! is a physics based paper warehouse management game. Using recycled materials, the player guides materials through a simple process to become paper, which then shipped out of the warehouse to customers whose lives will be wholly unchanged by receiving it. It is just paper after all.

Here are the basic steps to the creating a shipment of paper.

Step 1: Drop recycling bags down chute (on right) to be processed. These bags contain unprocessed paper and cardboard.

Step 2a: Ship unprocessed paper in delivery truck (left) to an undisclosed location, where underpaid child laborers will use an ungodly amount of bleach to make the paper clean and fit for consumer use.

Step 2b: Drop cardboard down chute (same one, on right) to be turned into cardboard boxes. They should have folded the damn boxes the first time. You, being the manager and all, don't have time for that.

Step 3: Forcefully cram reams of paper into the cardboard boxes (two per shipment), and they will automatically be sealed and ready for delivery.

Step 4: Load shipments into the back of the delivery truck, as well as any spare paper you may have. The child workers will deliver the packages during their lunch break, so one truck is all you need!

Super Paper! uses a mouse for the entirety of the game. Since the game is very dependent upon your speed and accuracy with a mouse, tracpads aren't recommended.

10 Seconds + Gameplay

The truck arrives for 10 seconds at a time, so when you see it, be sure to load it with your packages and paper! The number on the truck shows how many packages are expected in that shipment. If you fail to meet that number, you'll be fired! That'll be GAME OVER for you!

That was obscenely difficult. Fun, but still irritating.

Nice idea.
Not very intuitive gameplay! Impossible to play without detailed manual reading...

Had trouble figuring out what to do, then read the manual. Pretty complex mechanics, but it's good once you get the hang of it. Still pretty hard though. But great idea and awesome physics engine.

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
