Not sure how the 10 seconds come into play? Maybe I gave up too soon. Nice little maze-navigator aside from that.

Cool idea. I think that the limitations of the radio are a bit confusing, though--I couldn't tell what aspect of the path took time, or what the limit of my instructions were. Making this a little clearer would be great.

Also, I saw in your source that you generate maps, but after playing through the first level again I noticed it was the same. It would have been really cool if you could have leveraged the generation. On the other hand, this style of map--a single, branching tree--doesn't make it very easy to set up ambushes, since there aren't any cycles. I couldn't get past the first level with a guard, since he came straight at me and I didn't see any good way to flank him. Having made a few maze generators myself, it's cool to see someone else doing it. :)

Another thing that kinda bothered me was the size of the window. I have a 2560x1600 monitor, so it was kinda annoying to have the game limited to such a tiny space.

Thanks for the feedback.

I really wanted to build around setting up ambushes but I just didn't get there. It is possible to get the drop on the guard but it's not easy - you need to go down a side corridor and turn around so your player will get him as he passes (or just leave him alone).

I wasn't sure if people would buy the time thing. The thing that takes time is if the player has to radio you for help either because of waiting for directions (tell me where to go) or giving too many directions with too many turns (won't be able to remember).

Window size and randomness on the other hand - I didn't realize people would *like* the maze being as big as possible - I just cut the size down and kept the same random seed so I could play the game faster and more consistently...

Cool idea, and it has a fun, sneaky feel to it. I got stuck on level two, and was frustrated by a couple things: 1) it'd be great to have a keyboard key to zoom in/out the map so I can switch. 2) I wasn't sure how to use the radio less (I'm guessing that giving commands while zoomed in vs zoomed out would help? 3) It seems I can give a series of waypoints, but then he would always get confused, and there was no way to remove an accidental waypoint. From comments, I guess this affects the radio use somehow. 4) Sometimes the guard would change to walk right toward me when I issued a command (or so it seemed).

It's a good game. It's hard to figure out what's the 10 seconds limit on the radio but the mechanics are good and the game is very addictive.

the pathfinding was quite buggy^^ i got cought right in front of the goal spot because the character moved backwards all the time :D but all in all it's a pretty funny game!
