MORE TIPS AND DETAILS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
Press any key or the mouse buttons to do the action. Hit some of the obstacles from the front and the rest from the sides. When you hit them you will get points for your score, unless you hit them wrong, then you will die.

This is really nice but some sfx would have made a world of difference.
Really, really good. I love the side vs front mechanic and how you have to make that lane decision VERY quickly. It can be pretty intense!
Bonus minimalism points for the 2 color graphics and narrow playfield (I did the same thing with my entry).
Great game. Could've used some SFX at minimum. But still great game.
Really enjoy this. At first I was playing it like a survival game, which was satisfying in its own right, but once I discovered the ability to destroy the obstacles, it really impressed. The game is beautiful and constrained in really interesting ways. Great application of the theme.
Really good take on paring a game mechanic down to its minimum. Thanks!
I don't quite get how scoring works for some reason. One time I got a score of 1, and the rest I got 0.
It's a surprisingly fun lane changer game, and really compelled me to play on for longer than I'd have suspected.
Surprisingly addictive, and you were spot on with the theme! The graphics were a little jerky sometimes.
thank you all for the nice comments! sorry it doesn't have sound. i couldn't make my own music because it would have been bad, and i think any sounds i added would either make it feel empty or prevent you from playing you're own music over it.
also, note that the first comment is from like halfway through the first day.
@recursive frog: there's basically no chance you'll see this because there's no real reply function, but were you destroying the obstacles? if you are and it's not working, please tell me what browser you're using and such.
oh dang i used "you're" instead of "your"
Played some slightly similar games like this already... But you have a very nice personal touch with the graphics + the front/side touch makes this a different game. Nice work!
I love it! I feel like it would be right at home on a graphing calculator! SFX and music would have made this an absolute winner for me!
Minimal window, minimal controls, minimal sign, nice art...
I like this idea of destruction conditions to score.
Good work!
Minimalism at it's finest. Takes some skill to create a game this fun and yet so simple. Love the "any key" game controls. Also love the pseudo 3D effect with the "vehicle" as it switches lanes. Great work, @syre!
Simple and short but addictive; The "press any key" is a clever idea!
It's okay. To be quite honest, it didn't hold my attention for that long, I guess I just don't get addicted to things like everyone else here. But you definitely get a good theme score, very nice.
a note: varr knows me irl and made an account just to post that. i did not ask for that.
You get a hell of a lot out of the minimal graphics - impressive. A sound effect for the smashing would have made it feel so much more alive.
Super fun, solid entry, and about as minimal as you can possibly get. Very nice.
Neat little game. Simple mechanics and decent presentation. Liked it.
How the hell to start playing? I clicked "web" nothing loads in my browser (already tried chrome and firefox). I clicked source - 404 not found!

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
This is hands-down the most fun and addicting game to come out of the whole competition so far.
