"I DIED" is a randomly generated arena combat game where moving and attacking are the same thing. Build momentum to smash into enemies, see how long you can stay alive, and uncover more of the story as you die horribly. Gameplay is inspired by The Binding Of Isaac.

There may be some bugs and/or oddities with item combinations/synergies, so please let us know if you run into any problems! We have intentions of adding to this in the coming weeks to make it a more substantial experience. This will (most likely) include more items, rooms, and enemy types!

Arrow keys. That's it. No, really!

Well that was nicely gruesome. :)

It's a really nice aesthetic, the control scheme fits the theme very well, and I love the audio. Certainly one of the better games I've rated thus far.

Ok, you guys did an awesome job here. I'm a huge fan of Binding of Isaac and I really appreciated the references (gameplay as well as graphics). I also like the fact that you gave this game your own "touch". The gameplay is original.
Two thumbs up !

... ew. Nicely done graphics and game play, but (and this is personal preference) the art style kind of turned me off. Audio was slightly annoying. Loved the game play mechanic of bashing in to stuff, though.

Hey, that's a cool game. Great idea about using speed to defeat enemies (and reduce control input). Also, the B&W art remembers me the old days of the Speccy. Had a blast when I picked up the pepper.

The art wasn't very good in my opinion, but still a fantastic mechanic.
It felt WAY too Binding of Isaac-y, though.

I can't tell you how much I liked this one... because I didn't.

Nah, im just effing. I played this game for the longest so far. (was that a sentence?) I got sucked in.

I kinda want to get all of the characters in this game as like a big collage tattoo.

This has been my favorite entry so far. I enjoyed that a lot. Fantastic art and audio. Really hard, but I think that's a good thing.

Super cool - got to 5 rooms. Very very fun. I was pulled in by the 10s video and the visuals, very nice. The controls were a bit touchy, I felt like I had to ram back and forth some to get it feeling good. Great work!

Momentum = Attack is a good idea! It's just really really hard to dodge those spikes, oh man >.< I hope your final version turns out nicely!

Well, first of all, you guys are geniuses for changing the death message every replay. Am I the only one who noticed that? Talk about replay value! Wow! You people have definitely got on to my "play more of this game later" list. I need to see where it leads (and begins- I didn't start reading it until later).

I love the graphical style and the playful gruesomeness. Very good feel. I really ought to download Binding of Issac, I bought it in an old Humble Bundle but never played it. Also very good physics.

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
