December 14th-17th 2012 :: Theme: You are the Villain
Made with Stencyl 3.0 beta :-)
I encountered a strange bug with it : I haven't be able to fix the background (cells) :'(
Edit : Stencyl fixed the repeating background bug, it was not my fault, so I just recompiled with the new update :p
I tried something new with sounds/music to change the classical sfx, it took me lot of times, and the result is... different :-D
I'm proud of my quest system and my map, but I lacked time and haven't made a conclusion :-S
Some tips to play :
- You go faster on infected cells;
- More you control cells, less leukocytes appear;
- Eat erythocytes (red ones) heals you;
- It can not be more than 25 leukocytes in the same room;
- It can not be more than 1 bullet on screen at the same time, so : closer you are to your target, faster you can shoot!
- Start to aim easy quests that rewards bonus, they will not disappear if you die!
Have fun! ;-)

Addicting game ! Well done ! A huge game with several levels, plenty of quest and powers ! How did you have time to do all this work ? Bravo :)
@Bensonance : you have to press the X key to target white cells without moving.
@lotusgame : that's right that I didn't slept much ^^
Thanks for your comments!
Very impressive game and felt quite polished. As you mentioned, the lack of ending is the only thing that stuck out.
Loooooooooooooved it omg, ruining cells at high speed is so much fun it makes me feel evil though :P
Really good and complex game. Very good sounds. On the bad side the controls are little hard to get use to
i played the heck out of this. was a bit too difficult for me but couldn't stop. good job.
The white cells are so OP XD really cool game and i really like the sound effects and music
This game is so original.
I definitively like the way each action has a different sound, even if it's not always nice and melodic, it contributes a lot to the atmosphere.
Thanks for your comments
@Colapsydo : yeah it was the first time I try that for the sounds, to change, and that took me lot of times ^^
Cool idea. I couldn't figure out how to stick to a board to switch rooms. Controls felt great.
This game felt complete aside from a few small things. It was kind of long, but I enjoyed it enough to play it through. I wish there was more variety in gameplay though.
good stuff here. I loved the sound and the theme is great too. A bit tricky to kill the white cells because when I aimed I just ran right into them.
Woha, pretty long game for a Ludum Dare's One! Very well done, 5/5.
Nice! Very inventive gameplay ideas. Quite difficult when there's a big bunch of whitecells coming for you though.
This was pretty damn fun. A little difficult, but awesome. I would've incorporated WASD steering to make it a little more accessible.
Nice idea and execution in such a short time! Pretty difficult though with all the white cells spawning, can they be stopped or halted somehow?
Thanks all!
@AdventureIslands : Yes, more you control cells, less leukocytes appear! From approximately 5sec to 60sec between two white cells spawning

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.
MORE TIPS AND DETAILS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
REMEMBER: The “Theme” category is only for the main theme (You are the Villain). Don’t penalize for not using Goats.
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
We’ve identified the problem, and should have the page caching bugs fixed for next Ludum Dare.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
It's a great idea and a decent execution, but the mouse control makes it difficult to shoot the white cells.
