August 24th-27th 2012 :: Theme: Evolution
My incomplete 48h competition entry.
The idea was a fighter/platformer in which two sides in a debate over evolution fought over their ideals.
Submitting this complete with placeholder sphere character mostly just so I can rate everyone else's games!
Edit: I completely forgot to mention the controls!
Keyboard:
Left/Right - Move
Shift - Jump
Gamepad:
Left Thumbstick X - Move
Button 3 / Button 4 - Jump
Advanced:
When touching a wall, moving away from it will cause you to wall jump.

That's right, you did more than lots of people that didn't even try.
About the game, the jumping feels a little sticky. Keep on working on your game!
Well done for submitting this. A promising start. Too bad you didn't get any futher as I think it would have been fun to play.
I like the 3D view on this, can almost imagine a sort of mario-esque game.
Keep working on it.
I have no experience at all working with 3d, not even close. But I have to say that this just looks really cool. The shadows and the camera angle make the game feel very nice. Keep working on it! It's very visually appealing
Cool that you used WebGL. I have used openGL some but have not really worked in javascript or WebGL.
The game is the reward. Your game is a good reward. Good job!
I want to try this, but when I try, I just get a new tab with a pitch black screen. No game shows.

Congrats on submitting! Don't discredit yourself - that's a big thing, and I bet 90% of the people who said that they were going to compete didn't bother.
A cool take on it might be: every time a side wins (to get a coin, to beat the enemy, etc,) they get to manipulate the terrain. So instead of the characters evolving, the world does.
