Here's a game about building a spiritual garden. Enjoy!
WARNING: AUDIO IS VERY LOUD
I accidentally had my speakers too low when I was making the sounds and didn't realize just how loud the audio was until too late.
Input:
Mouse - Use tools, select flowers
Space - Harvest energy, breed flowers
R - Restart Game
Dig holes and plant seeds in them to begin creating a plant. Once a flower has been buried, it must be watered to reach its full maturity. Watering requires energy, which you can get by harvesting kinetic energy from mature flowers (using the shears). Be careful not to over-harvest, or you will kill the plants!
To get more seeds, you must use the cotton swab to mix the pollen of two flowers. Select the swab tool and two flowers and hit space to generate seeds. This also requires energy.
If you don't have enough energy to continue your garden you can press [r] to restart.
Be cautious while moving plants, if they are stressed too much (spinning, immature, recently bred) they may not survive.

Audio was a bit harsh -- kind of spoilt the otherwise pleasing mood. Fun to play about with.
Very cool concept. I like the idea behind the graphics but they are often hard to see.
Interesting idea.
Loud sound, a bit too much.
Simplistic but fitting graphics.
Fun to mess with.
I enjoyed playing it for a bit! Deffinatly fun, I wish I had read the instructions first before I started moving the plants, but overall great!
Very cool game... I love the idea and would definitely like to see it expanded. Once I started getting the hang of it, I really enjoyed it! Fun concept!
This is just wonderful. If it had some chill ambient music in the background, I could probably play this for hours.
Even better: Project the flowers onto the walls in my house, and play a persistent version of the game in real space.
I love the 'spirograph' look and feel. I just couldn't quite figure out how to play the game properly though.
I've added skip links to get through my sleep in the the Timelapse. Thanks for all the comments guys. I know the sound is awful, I accidentally had my speakers on very low when I was making the SFX and didn't realize until it was too late. If you're getting stuck, read the wall of text and let me know if there is still any confusion.
Thanks again for checking this out!
I played your in progress version of this, I was really curious to see how you'd go about making this a game. It turned out well! I like this a lot - you tried something new, and didn't stick with something tried and true. I'm going to check out your source, I'm curious to learn the magic behind this. Great work!
This is pretty interesting, although I couldn't quite work out a real strategy per se. I'd love to see this fleshed out beyond LD :)
Big fan of the idea. Implementation was a bit of a pain in the ass, but, meh, I like it anyway.
Josh, I'd love to hear what you didn't like about the implementation. I'm thinking about continuing working on this so any info about where you think more attention was needed would be great.
Nice visuals, it was fun trying to raise and combine plants. Harvesting energy was also interesting.

Pretty to play with. Killed off a few plants before I realised what the shears were doing.
