August 24th-27th 2012 :: Theme: Evolution
WSAD to move like usual. Left, Right, Up and Down arrow keys to fire your lazer. Battle your way through 9 challenging rooms to reach your evil brother, Clyde! Obtain power ups to evolve your character's stats to prepare for the boss fight! When you reach the boss room, panic!
Hopefully before the next compo I will buy Game Maker studio so I can export to Mac, HTML 5(web) and Android! =)

Thanks for the comments and the constructive criticism, the graphics were all rushed because I was too busy working on gameplay features, that's something I will work on when in the next Ludum Dare.
it's pretty irritating that the upgrades are random and I accidently ended up with 1 max hp :D
Cool game. I like how you did the upgrades. I would have liked to be able to shoot at an angle. and a couple of times I entered the room with baddies on my head.
@Kayelgee You don't have to get the upgrade you can leave the bad upgrades if you don't want them =P
@RARoadkill Thanks, if I make a post-compo version i'll include angled shooting and fix spawning.
The ennemy spawns are REALLY frustrating, I lost life quite often as I entered rooms

the mechanics of the game were nice. I could shoot at the enemy while running away. I like that. (some fail at this) The graphics were humorous, as well as the buttons in the menu that didn't do anything. haha. I was pleased you got the boss there at the end that even bled a little as he died. Nice.

Overall, this really wasn't a bad game. Everything was there, everything worked. A couple of things, though:
- Graphics could use some work
- Some more in-depth instructions would be nice.
Other than that, good job.
