Tribal Warfare

In Tribal Warfare, you lead your tribe to victory over the gremlins. However, your tribe is currently in the stone age, and is poorly equipped. Research new weapons, and evolve as a tribe. Its adapt or die!

Enjoy the evolving music too... I really like the way it turned out, so I added a soundtrack! Just play the songs on loop.


Here is some clarification for the controls. Movement and selection uses standard RTS controls. To gather resources, click on the building for the resource. You are given one of each kind to start. To attack, just move your men into the vicinity of the gremlins. Tip: Make sure you don't become too technologically advanced, you might end up killing yourself in the process.

I guess I should also mention... F11 activates fullscreen, but use at your own risk.

Not gonna rate it until after I get some instructions :P
How do I make my men do stuff? I see I can select them with the box, but how do I get them to collect?

Very fun Age-of-Mythology type of RTS, kinda got stuck when the gremlins attacked through the woods, and they seemed to be able to shoot the villagers, but they didn't seem to be able to shoot back.

I had fun playing this. The first time I died because I didn't read the instructions. After I read them I beat it pretty easily by putting huts right near the gremlin base.

Fun game! Music adds to the game.

Tip: select your people and press on the trees of enemies. Then they will do something for you.

Really love the soundtrack. As the game progresses the audio builds, really enjoy that. Took me awhile to understand how to play, for awhile I was not sure how to attack and why my units were not mining like they were supposed to. Turns out they were attacking, but I never see any projectiles until I reach the first technology mark.

Liked the game. It did need 3 playthroughs for me to get it right (and winning). Wish it had more sfx, the music is nice but some more audio like wood chopping/stones,.. would have been nice. I liked this game. Well done.

The ideas are great, and I did enjoy what I played, but for some reason (it might just be my computer), the game gets hung up and freezes a lot, especially during combat. It's annoying, because I can tell this game is well-designed and would be genuinely fun to play to the end if it worked fully. From what I have seen, however, I did enjoy it.

Solid game. Took me a while to get used to the interface. I kept selecting, and then left clicking on things, which would deselect again. A way to sell buildings would have been great, I put down flags to see what they did and ended up breaking the pathing for my rock collecting, which starved my resources. The rollovers for the builings, you could have put the building name in there as well. Would like to see the game with a slightly cleaner interface, and some level progression, maybe with new buildings and resources, and different types of ai (agressive, defensive), bottle necks... :) Great game tho!

Very fun game, the music is pretty neat too. But, as the number of entities (gameobjects, call them whatever you want) grows, the game gets laggy. And, btw, thank you for the tip with slick.

I liked the simplicity and fast pace. However, I wiah there was a little more indication of what was going on (I didn't know why my workers would just suddenly stop). Also, I couldn't figure out how to attack.

The music is a bit too loud, but I like how it's changing as I play. Pretty cool concept, and I also like minimalistic graphics. As usual with strategies, the key to winning is to quickly acquire technology. The game could use some polish, but does feel very much complete. Good job!

Nice little game. :) Was a bit confused at first, would be nice if buttons made a sound when you click on them to confirm that something's actually happening.

This is the first RTS I'm seeing in this compo, and it's a pretty good one. At first I didn't quite understand the controls, but I got it soon enough :-)

Fun game, but too easy. The game lag when there are too many people, also the music is annoying at some points. What's the point in evolving when the enemy gets stronger as well?

Played the browser version. Very oldschool gfx and at least in the browser version very squinty. Quite enjoyable mechanics and controls. Well done.

Nice game, a simple rts is great idea. I got the hang of it quite quickly and beat it on my first go but not without a bit of a challenge. Hope you build on this further.

NICE! That was really fun, actually. I like micro RTS games like that. My only wish would be hotkeys for buildings
