Barrel Roll

Your ship evolves as you play the game. Pick up weapons and have parts of your ship break off and re-structure itself as you navigate a narrow corridor.

Use A/D to steer your ship down the alley.

Hit Enter to fire your weapon.

download the .jar and double-click to run.

if that doesn't work, try running it from the command line with:

I'm stuck on the third level. I tried 5-6 time but starting over the first levels made me giveup. The game is cool, but become difficult too fast, I would have love to play 3-4 easier level before smashing my head on those walls.

This was quite entertaining. I kept failing on level three though, but that's just be being rubbish rather than a fault with the game. The audio is a nice start, but it could probably do with being a longer section since it sounds really repetitive when it loops over.

It looks good, but the music was getting on my nerves very quickly. Maybe if trade it with more neutral soundeffects?

Yeah.... level 3 was thrown together at the last moment, I didn't realize how hard it was going to be before it was too late.

I'm working on a post-compo version with a more reasonable progression of difficulties (and some CC audio so you don't go crazy listening to the same short loop over and over again). I'll post on the front page when that's ready to go.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I learned so much last weekend, I can't wait for LD25.

The audio is nerve-racking but the concept is promising. Couldn't beat level 3 =(

The timer at the beginning of the levels were kind of annoying since I died a lot. I liked the way that the ship evolve, though. Nice game! =D
