Treevolver - A genetic Engineering Puzzle game.
The rules are simple, but the game is not. You need to guide the evolution of trees until you breed a tree identical to the target tree. Have fun!
A couple notes:
I'm having some issues with my DNS, so if the web link doesn't work, try the Alternate URL.
This is my first HTML5 game, so if things break (and I'm sure they will) please let me know so I can try to fix them. I've tested it under current versions of Safari and Chrome, so if all else fails try one of them.
It's also hideously unoptomized: The game should work on android/iOS, but loading levels will take 30+ seconds, and everything will be generally laggy.
Libraries used: jQuery 1.8.0, Processing.js 1.4.1, messi. I'm also using the fonts ChunkFive and Orbitron by The League of Movable Type. All licences are included in the source .zip

A really beautiful game, but quickly boring... We need some music and Sfx ;) But it's hard to implement this on a website using js and html5... Good job !
well made, but as the others said gets boring pretty quickly, the randomness doesn't really help either as you often have to click the button a few times even with the right combo.
Interesting concept. I liked the "TreeNA" sequences on the bottom of the selected trees and target tree. Great use of the Theme, and cool graphics.
Really like the concept. It's tough to correlate the tree's appearance to its genetic fingerprint, though. It would be a little easier if you could see the genes in the seed bank view, instead of having to swap them in and out all the time.
I thought the presentation was super slick, but I felt the gameplay to be a bit hard to grasp.
Very slick design, looks really nice. Gameplay is a bit hard to figure out... I basically just tried combining all the trees until I got the target. Pretty cool, though.

A bit slow, but that's fine; who has time to optimise when you have 48 hours to make a game?
I liked the concept, although the size of the tree pictures at the top was annoying while trying to figuro out which one to use. Thumbnails which expand on mouse over would be great.
I think it's a really nice implementation of the theme, and a really nice job, being your first HTML5 game.
Well done! (:
