Bacon

by RandomM00 - 48 Hour Compo Entry

About a starving dwarf trying to kill a pig to get bacon.
The pig evolves into a mutant-lazer-blasting-killer-pig-monster, sort of. It's non-sensical and a very tenuous link to the theme!
Unfortunately, I didn't have time to add more enemies, so the game is rather brief.
The source code is a Mercurial repository, which will let you see the history of the game from it's first couple of files.
I'm extremely grateful to the Flashpunk team, their engine has been brilliant for this project!

I liked the minimalistic look of it, combined with the arena combat it made the game pretty enjoyable! Sad that there is no sound though :(.

"Clearly I've won, but you can't eat success". Now there's a philosophical line if I ever heard one. I like this, very simple and neat. A bit easy, but I can see how with more time, you could turn it into something awesome.

Nicely done. One of the few games I can actually score in the Humor category. I wish that choosing to kill or not to kill the pigs could play a role in the gameplay somehow.

Great performance (if you have high-framerates, that's an automatic WIN for me :D). Pig graphics were cute, even the bloody "zombie" pig and the robot-pig. Too bad there was no sound, but great animations and cool touch with the floating text (almost used as a particle system :D)

I love the menu transition, very slick! Laser pig was totally brutal though, very tough!

I beat that laser shooting pig into the ground, then ate him :D

Great game, simple, yet addictive. Next time use that Sfx class that FlashPunk gives us!

Only thing that was lacking was the sound, and some of the evolved pigs seemed a bit too difficult.

It is funny but the 3rd level is too hard, there's nowhere to hide!!

Haha, an epic boss battle with a pig! Hillarious idea. Would be a lot more fun with music and sfx, though. You should work keep working on it!

A bit short. Also I cant really see any evolution. But hey, for 48h I suppose it's alright!

This was actually really fun, the laser-pig was just the right difficulty (took me 5-6 tries before I beat him).
