Artificial Selection Racing Game

by Tyranus - 48 Hour Compo Entry

The goal is to make money through bets and doing artificial selection to adapt the creatures to the different levels.

PD:I work (just like my last LD entry) less than 8 hours, so there is a lot of things that need to be fixed.

A bit difficult to actually understand what to do but the breeding was very good, the traits of the two selections really showed, not bad at all

A great game with hilarious looking characters. I ended up playing to make the most ridiculous looking one possible.

Great work! The AI was frustratingly dumb, but I love the ideas here. Reminds me of the Yoshi racing in Mario RPG. It would be great if you could have some influence during the race similar to that (in Mario RPG you could give cookies to speed up your racer, but you had a limited supply)

Loved it. Look good and funny. And the best take on evolution (for me) I have seen so far.

It was a nice take on the theme, but the game itself was too buggy. If I press 0 the music mutes, sometimes I win big and have 2000$ but after betting and losing 50$ I end up with 200$ after 2 races. Also, it's the "son" doesn't always show up, making the breeding stage useless.
