A bit of a tenuous link to evolution (but then most of them are). Also I kept getting a tiny window and then on the fifth attempt it worked. (Running on Linux). Saying that pretty fun to play.

Better graphics and shooting interaction as well as power ups would make the game much more fun. Right now, it's pretty boring, sorry :(

Pretty dynamic and cool shooter, I think it needs a bit more feedback :)

A tried and tested idea... not brilliantly executed... but hey, here's what I think:
Enemies are too easy to beat and not enough variety
Graphics are evidently quick sketches of things.
Game feels rushed
Player is overpowered. There should be a cooldown between shooting and you should be able to shoot when you feel like it, not constantly.
Theme is not well matched. Sure, the ship grows and shrinks, but is that evolution?
It's a little fun but it quickly gets boring when the same enemies keep on coming at you... and you keep destroying them... it becomes a chore.

I like the Atari vibe. The appearance would a bit more complete if you made the text look retro as well. I'd don't know if it was a time constraint or if graphics is not your strong suit, but making the text large and blocky like the rest of graphics would make everything come together a little better.

Additionally a few more enemies, or more aggressive enemies would be nice. I found the game too easy because I could outrun all the enemies or sweep past them to kill them quickly.

dalbinblue: Atari-like graphics is what I was aiming for :D I agree the game is too easy.

I liked to play with the laser, drawing with them and stuff. Nice one!

Dynamic and fun shooter, until you get bored. Varying the enemies and adding powerups for different evolution would solve that.

could have used some audio and visual feedback. but nice game for your first LD entry.

The game could use some balance; after about 1000 health, the game becomes unlosable. I ended up having over 100,000,000 life. It was also very predictable; enemy types and boss scenes were random, but everything else was mathematically modeled and not well balanced.

In spite of that, the game was still fun, and quite addictive. How bad can it be if it kept me playing until I had stats that high?

Needs sound effects! I liked the ship graphics.

Would be nice if it had sound, and the controls are probably a bit too sensitive, i.e. you can move too fast which makes the game too easy. Also, I couldn't figure out what the green dots are for. But overall, a smooth experience.
