Ebosslution

Ebosslution is a plataform game, my first game!. The player have the control of a rare slim who can shot bullets and grenades, but when he shot he goes into stress mode and loses health until he stop shotting.

There are 5 levels, each one have an evolutionated boss that you need kill to pass next level. The final level (#5) have all types of bosses plus the final boss.

I couldn't get past the second level. The "health is your ammo" mechanic is a neat one, but when the enemies move this fast (and have so much health) it can be pretty frustrating. I wasn't able to tell where the "evolution" theme was coming into play (maybe a later level?).

I liked the fact that it did damage to myself when I shot the enemy. However the opponent in the begging round were way to strong. I also disliked that I fell onto the enemy and they would corner me in area where I couldn't kill them and if I jumped down they killed me.

I liked the different bosses, although it seemed the trick was always "shoot more stuff", but it was a pain to have to restart each time I ran out of life.

The idea for losing your health when you shoot is nice, but I think that game needs more balancing for the mechanic to succeed.

I didn't see what it had to do with the theme, but still cool.

I had a blast playing this. I did not think it was that difficult to play. It's challenging and takes a couple tries to know what is coming at you.

I didn't realize i had a double jump right away.

Some bgm would be a nice touch post LD if you continue to develop it.

Interesting idea with the shooting/losing health tradeoff.
Played to level 4, then it crashed with this

"Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'pos' of undefined "

Sound effects were good, music sadly missing.

It was fun and challenging. I got to level 5 I think. Nice gfx, particles and sfx.. missed bgm. Loved granades!!! Congratulations.
