August 24th-27th 2012 :: Theme: Evolution
A tower defense game, all made with Blender Game Engine and Gimp!
Three units:
Gemini - give you more credits
Wall - protect the others
Cannon - shoot in the enemies
The goal is survive the wave of enemies for a determinate time.
The idea of the game was to have units that evolve, but time was short! Sorry guys! xD

Thanks PixelOaks! Having done this game in Blender, and only with logic bricks..well... was a little difficult xD
But very fun! \o/
Sorry for no sound, and thanks again! =)
Crud! MediaFire is blocked on my network. Any chance you could add an alternate download location? I am intrigued that you made it in Blender.
This is fantastic!
I love how this was done in 48 hours, and that the game is beatable. It's very zombies vs plants, but fun nonetheless! I was able to beat it too!

Well polished and fun. Sad there isn't any sound :(
Thanks guys! I love Plants vs Zombies, was 'inevitably influential' heheheh xD

(I put the source and the two versions)
Took me a few tries to beat it. My winning strategy wasn't very interesting and only required canons, but I suspect that's mainly my fault for being unfamiliar with this type of game. That said, it's some really impressive work. If you keep developing it, and make it distinct from plants vs. zombies, this could be really neat!
Had a few issues with placing my towers, but once I got them down it all worked well
definitely put some more into this as it could really be great. Good job on the 3D graphics and theme, the petry dishes were a good touch. The controls were finicky and plopped my towers everywhere. But overall it is high up there. Oh no sound :(
Reminds PlantVSZombies to me. But all gooeeesssss toooo sloooooowwwwwww... I can't play with it, sorry. Also I can't understand how it connected with theme.
Quite cool, did have a few troubles initially with some of the placement (wouldn't highlight the correct saucer) but other than that I thought it looked quite good
Wonderful graphics! Clicking on the plates may be a bit inaccurate sometimes.
I like the visual style and flavor of it. The tower defense aspects are a little plain, but that's to be expected from the time and format. For me, at least, the areas that I could click didn't line up with the petri dishes. I'd also like some way to speed up the waves. Nice little game though, and I'd like to see it developed further.
Impressive! I love the graphics and gameplay elements! The only problem is that gameplay seems a bit slow, but great job!
Nice accomplishment, I like the 3D models!
The speed is a little bit too slow for me, is there an option to speed the waves up?
BGE! :-)
You do have some gameplay problems as mentioned above :-P But that's ok, there is never enough time!
I peeked your source to check up how you did certain things. Nice work on the GUI and the units' textures and general appearance. You also have some cool details like the rotating dish.
Thanks for all the feedback! ^^
Unfortunately the time was sooooo short, the game indeed need a lot of 'calibrations' xD
And feel free to download the source!
Thanks again people!
Lovely graphics: I like how all the units looked very different, but everything worked together as a whole. The gameplay needs a bit of work as discussed above. There's a big advantage to building canon at the far left of the map, since they get more shots out before the baddies reach them. I found if I put a row of five there I didn't need to build anything else, and I couldn't come close to winning with any other strategy (it seems you have to build five canon as they can only fire in a straight line, and once you've done that you don't have any credits left over).
Shows promise.
My issues:
-Enemies float off the ground.
-All cannon towers constantly fire during a wave, enemies or not.
-Enemy animation doesn't match actual speed.
-Enemies move too fast for their health. (Or have too much health for their speed.)
-Very few credits gained.
-Win after one wave?
-No sound.
-Lacking in theme.
Quite slow... And You can win by placing only a wall of cannons! But would be a great game with more enemies and cash! Still nice one!
Looks good and you made me look at Blender again ('you can do THIS with blender?').
Could you make it faster though?
I'm thinking now what would be improved in the game, thanks again for the feedback! It's very important to me! =)
And goerep, you will love the BGE now! I'm sure! Give it a try! Look at the BGE game projects in the Blenderartists.org forum, you will be impressed! =D

Its impressive that you made this in blender. It could have used some basic sounds at least. Seems like a solid concept you should try to develop it further.
