August 24th-27th 2012 :: Theme: Evolution
Control Satan's minions and help spread the heretical theory of evolution among the world's population.
Gameplay is fairly simple and high-score-based. The easiest way to describe it is "landmine defense," except instead of blowing up soldiers you're misleading creationists. The miners spawn faster and faster over time until they overwhelm your defenses and expose your trickery.
Most of the following can also be found on the in-game rules screen.
-Controls: A/D to move, Space to fire
-Charge your shots to launch them further upward
-Overcharged shots create more convincing fossils, worth more points (1/3/5)
-Landing a shot directly in front of an incoming miner is worth bonus points (2/6/12)
-Hitting or failing to distract a miner temporarily raises suspicion
-A flashing suspicion bar means the next hit will defeat you

This game is hilarious, I really liked your take on the theme. The gameplay is well done also.
Smart game! I was hoping there'd be a funny creationist one. :) This one did its job in addressing that, although I didn't immediately pick up the controls. I think having access to arrow keys for movement would be nice. Fun game though!
Haha, awesome concept for a game and well executed too. I liked the how the difficulty steadily ramped up and the 'risk-reward' system for trying to get the miners to discover new fossils without hitting them is pretty clever. Great work!
The moment I added that twist was the moment it started being really fun, and to think I was considering adding the opposite effect (older fossils are worth more) for a while.
Brilliant game! I first thought I was supposed to shoot the miners, but the way it's actually played is much more interesting. Very smart and funny take on the theme.
My first playtesters did that too, I find it funny that people go straight to blowing them up! That's one big thing I'd like to improve, make it obvious after one or no shots that you aren't supposed to hit them.

Over all this is a brilliant game, I love the twist on the theme. I discarded a similar idea and this is probably 20x better than what I would have done.
