Maze Evolution

For my first time, I think I did fairly well. I didn't set the scope to big, and felt I had lot's of extra time. Maybe next time I should shoot for something bigger, but I was just happy to have a nice little game at the end of this one. Look forward to the next LD and hope I am able to participate again!

very short game. as a note, it would have been nicer with smoother animation (holding key down and such)

Good job on your first LD! The collision detection seems really messed up though. I seem to picking up coins in front of me. I can also move through walls.

The movement, as well as the characters hitbox, are extremely messed up. More sfx and music would be nice, as far as I can tell, there's only one soundeffect for completing a level. One for collecting coins is a must.
Why not allow the player to hold the arrow keys to move? Repeatedly pressing them gets annoying fast.

The game is lacking innovation as well, it's just a standard maze-game. Can't really see the theme here either.

Short, and with the weirdest movement sysytem ever seen for a maze.. And beside the cap on the pg, i don't see any evolution..
