Could do with a soundtrack.
OMG the text colouring is burning my eyes!
@panzermancer The "guy" looking ones evolve in 3 levels, but u need to kill an enemy one first to get the "pattern", then you can evolve provided you have enough resource. I would've liked to elaborate more on the evolve mechanic. Also, I would've like to more cleanly display it to the player but I ran out of time, :p Thanks for playing.
@Defräg Yeah the colors are kind of harsh but I'm no artist :)
I really enjoyed the graphics! Kinda' reminded me of Darwinia.
I had some trouble controlling my units. Is there only one specific unit capable of mining? Also (after numerous attempts at foolish moves) I got the pathfinding to crap up, with some units orbiting around others. I think you should have more help / instructions for the player, if you decide to further develop this game.
Very nice. It was rather cool to be able to expand and explore. Perhaps fog of war? also better selection handling. I'm impressed this was made in GMK8.1!
I love this game and it's gameplay !
Very innovating I think...
I quite liked this game, though I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to play properly. Still, the graphics have a lovely retro feel to them, and the mix of RTS mechanics with evolution seems very interesting indeed.
Nice game, could have been more of a challange but I'm glad it is a break of all the others.
I really enjoyed the resource gathering in this one. Can't figure out why since I normally hate taking resources in account.
Nice game, the pathfinding was a bit off, and it was hard to stop the drones from mining once you had told them to, and once a block got selected that was off the screen and I was losing all my drones to that without realising. graphics and units were cool.
I showed that cat who was boss! Took a little time to figure out what to do (I was thought r-click would mine, like in starcraft) Had a neat dynamic of mining to unlock more of the map. Good stuff!
Interesting game! It was quite enjoyable, and I'd like to see a postcompo version. One boring but successful strategy is to wake the enemies one by one. You can prevent this by grouping enemies that wake together. Fog of war and more levels would be nice too. A healing feature would also enable more interesting strategies. In terms of user interface, it would be nice to be able to select mineable blocks more easily.
Damn it all. So much for "rating a bunch of LD entries this morning"! I've been playing this the whole time. I tried a couple of times, but by the time I had about 3/4 of the map taken over, I would pretty much have no chance of winning. So what I ended up doing, was spawn some of the speedy guys into where the cat was, and just guided them around and around the cat, and the cat's bullets couldn't keep up! Boom, win.
Sound effects could have been a bit louder, but overall this is an outstanding game. I really enjoyed beating it:)

I really couldn't see how Evolution really tied into this - trust me, I was bashing V pretty much the whole time. I feel like a clearer explanation of how Evolution works in this game would be needed. I do like the graphics, however, and the idea of one big, sprawling nonlinear map with weird things to deal with on it. I don't know why, but those have always piqued my interest; probably just because I see something, am curious about what it is and how it works, and get pleasantly surprised when I do figure out what it is. For example, I'm really curious about that giant cat thing at the bottom, I wonder what it does :>
