LD48 Lavalution

by mungoman1 - Jam Entry

Hello, folks! This is my first time entering the Ludum Dare Game Jam, but I think I did faily well (maybe)! I made a survival game where the point is to stay above the sea of lava, using your CPT Force Gun v12. This gun conveniently landed directly next to you after the obscure catastrophe that befell the world just as this game started, and is ready to get you to safety (note: you cannot escape!).  Anyway, here's download links and a web player: Beware of bugs, I've already found one myself! Mouse and WASD controls, left click once to fire, left click again to let go. When attached to something the ball that comes out of your gun will pull you towards it. You're gonna have to adapt to some quite interesting situations to get a good score! Oh, and sorry about the spazzing lava, it has problems on lower end cards. :(

It's interesting gameplay-wise once you get used to it. Also appreciate the graphic options at the start. That lava is spazzing out though.

I like the idea, the but execution could've been better. The turning speed could use a bit of a boost (I was having a lot of problems just turning around), and it's rather hard to move up due to the height of the player.

When I loaded the tutorial level I got stuck in the tree, took me quite a few shots to get out of it.

Overall it's not a bad attempt at all.

Was difficult but fun!
Liked the 3d Models, DEFIANTLY needed to be in the Jam, you must've killed yourself working on this!

This is awesome. I can't wait to see what comes of this game in the future! The graphics are excellent for only 72 hours, and the overall gameplay is very entertainting:D
