Its a bit buggy.
I think the same that azurenimbus about the reload. :)
Gameplay was fun once I figured out how to play. And I agree that the ability to restart after death would be very nice :)
The gameplay is pretty basic, but the tank moves and feels pretty good. Like the others, I'd recommend adding a way to respawn somehow in-game.
There are two main problems:
1) Sometimes a bullet will bounce rather than destroying the enemy. This happens if a contact is made then released in the same tick. I've corrected it, but obviously too late for the competition.
2) It really does need a score, and the ability to play again after death.
Controls are really hard to master but I like this kind of shooting.
like the simple vector graphics,
nice and simple game. Interesting how you can shoot the bullets to prevent them from hitting you.
Interesting...it seems a bit plain right now with out a score counter / goal, but looks-wise, I really like it! A little Tron-esque. If you capitalized on this (the look/feel) and added more features, I'd definitely give it another go!
I'm a sucker for vector vehicles and tanks. I just wish it had a way to restart quickly and maybe if the enemy tanks scrolled onto the playfield rather than popping into existence.
In any case, I enjoyed it. Cheers!
There's a solid base here for a more fleshed-out tank combat game. Your motion and controls are absolutely on-point. The only thing that's missing really is a mission beyond just shooting down the randomly spawning enemy tanks.
You know, maybe you should make this a more open-world type game where you take your tank around and try to find / rescue / destroy targets? Maybe add some extra considerations like barrel overheating, fuel, terrain?
the tank physics and firing controls are actually pretty good, reminds me in some ways of combat on the 2600. there's not much of a game here though since it doesnt even keep score. The controls are absoulutely perfect though, a fully developed game with tank physics like this could be quite fun.
The game feels smooth. I like that you can shoot down bullets.
Its a great start, but is very unfinished.
The game actually felt quite nice. Maybe a bit unoriginal but the controls responded nicely. A way to tell which is the front and which is the back of your tank would have been nice.
Looks like a good start. Gameplay feels fine, once my bullet tumbled away, which looked neat.
What others said applies: A bit boring, needs more content, score counter and restart ability.
I get the title screen, but the game crashes when I click the "play" button.
What's here is really good. Controls work well, shooting is right on, you've got bullet-bullet collisions.
I think you needed more time. I think this is a good candidate for post-compo work.
Nice one!
The Game didn't open properly on my PC. Windows, JDK7 (and JRE7) installed.
Tank movement and shooting feels just right! Sad that the game is unfinished...
Neat game; definitely needs to be fleshed out more next time around.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to rate this game and comment on it. I appreciated your feedback.

I wish there was a way to play again after you die without having to quit and reload. At least that's what happens on my mac. It would be good also if you could block the enemy's bullets as you shoot!
