By Live stream I meant Time lapse lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBephfgilvM
If you could help me get it running that would be great, I get the following (Win7, x64):

Exception in thread "main"
Same error as above, which probably means this game requires java7 which isn't really standard yet. If you don't need anything "new" in java 7 you should recompile with java6, a lot more people would be able to run it.
I could play it, but i have java 6 and 7. Was fun playing your game
The player needs some work, jumping was a bit clunky and the player character itself didn't really help.
The voxel graphics was nice, even if I didn't realize the lava was actual lava until I'd fallen into it and died.
Also, all the levels need some more work; First and second had areas that were way too hard in comparison to the third one.
Quite hard to control, you should also use better input reading, such as checking if the button was previously pressed so you don't get repeated actions from one button press like on the menus. Could be better
Game works fine for me (Windows 7 HP x64 Java 1.6). Good game but a little rough around the edges. Nothing particularly innovative here so I couldn't really rate higher but it's still a great achievement to have produced a working game like this in the time.
Twas a fun and addicting game, I even forgot my pasta was boiling.
Thanks guys. And sorry about the whole java 7 thing, will fix now. And about the levels: I forgot them, I literally had no time to make more levels :(. Make you own! they are fully read from a text file called "level"+level number
***I'm posting this on all non-browser games I bring up in an attempt to encourage folks to make browser games next time around. Do not take it personally.***
When hundreds of people make non-browser games, that means that, to play all of the entries, I would need to download hundreds of games to my computer. I typically use OS X, so Windows-only entries are particularly inconvenient.
Please consider making a browser game next time.
And @LawrenceEsswood I don't know what's wrong then D: will look into it. Also you do have to unzip it, if you dont it wont load... thats openal for ya!
Pretty fun game, a few graphics glitches and falling out of the world issues.
Not a fan of platformers. Jumping was really hard. On the level selection screen I was able to not only walk off the map, but I could also walk off the screen :)

Still getting java error. Sorry Zoomy, I don't want to install java 7 so unfortunately I can't play your game. Was looking forward to it too, looks like the kind of game I'd like.
You should add java 7 as a requirement into your description.
If you post another build that works for java 6, I'll be happy to try again.
Hey you know what, screw it. I downloaded 1.7 and tried it out. I'd hope someone would do the same for me.
Good music (why leave it off by default?).
Liked the design for level 1, but it seems like you rushed levels 2 & 3 out. But hey you have more levels than me :)
Controls were a little twitchy but not to hard to control.
A little animation for the character would have been good.
I think with a little more polish you would have quite a good game here.
um...the link only SAYS windows, it should work on OSX just fine, only issue is whether you have java7 or not...so devwil/robcozzens, are you just spamming these or are you actually even reading them first, as it's clearly stated in the comments that the game is java7.
@Zoomyzoom you should change the link to say "All platforms (Java7)" so people won't just see the "windows" link and pass it up. Please make a 1.6 version if possible though as well :/
Hi!
All had worked fine for me, no java problems.
The controls worked fine (sometimes a little hard to manage though).
In the level 3 (the one you started falling, and falling, and falling) where have I to go? It seems that is unfinished.
The best, the music. Why did you disabled?
Cheers man!
I listen to music when I program... You cant imagine how frustrated I was when I looked at the time and saw I had not time left to make levels. And also the music is also off by accident.
Pretty fun, I fell through the world a few times - a bit hard to control, but great effort.
Had the java issue. Maybe you could provide a link on the game infos to where to download the java to get it to work ?
Pretty fun! Liked the addition of the map screen; makes it feel like a better-rounded game. Thanks!
I think the statement of devwil "I would need to download hundreds of games to my computer" is not valid because of course it's downloaded somehow to your machine either way.
Nevertheless making an applet with Java is really no problem so that could be considered next time (it's a matter of 6 lines (not counting imports) if coded properly)
Now to your game:
I didn't recognize the lava in the beginning, too and had also problem with the controls being a bit too sensitiv. The music was more annoying in the long term.
But all in all it's a solid working game with animation created in only 48 hours, so it's worth some points.
Windows. Java too old. Wanted to play, but couldn't. I will keep looking at the games for the next 13 days or so, so there's a chance I'll have a look at your game again. Like Raptor85 said - recompile for Java 6 to get more audience.
Not bad! I made it to the end (well, onto map 3 which seems kind of empty!)
For those experiencing problems, it's definitely a Java version issue: I had the same error, then upgraded to Java 7 and it worked.
thanks @Jeffalisk, I completely ran out of time for level making. if you watch my time lapse you can see when i realise i have 15 mins to make levels and am like AHHHAAHAHAHHAHHHH!!!
First java game I couldn't run. Windows archive, after unpacking, doesn't even start.
This is a difficult little platformer, made even more difficult because I'm not left handed! But the basics are there, ready to be expanded upon, which is awesome work for 48 hours.
Like others have said, you shouldn't use Java 7 yet unless you need it, as pretty much nobody has it and the error message isn't exactly friendly. Also, since this is Java, why not offer an applet version? I offer free Java hosting at http://StaticVoidGames.com, might be worth checking out.
