April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
(New Linux version now contains 32- and 64-bit binaries. You'll need some form of OpenGL installed but other than that it should be self-contained. Hopefully :)
Drive your vehicle with the mouse (right-click to reverse) to collect materials to fuel the rocket to escape the marauding red gloop of doom that is gradually shrinking your world.
Click a resource icon when close enough to harvest it. Your vehicle can carry up to three at once.
Resources still to collect are shown at top-left.

That was very interesting, I liked the shrinking mechanic. Fun game play, good work.
Game was quite good, challenging even. Of all games I have played yet, this has the best mood. In its darkness and depression it nearly matches the final minutes of Tetris :P
The game's pretty fun, and I really like the feel / mood to it. The only thing I'd strongly recommend is to make the game window re-sizable, if you do anything further with it or make another entry in the future. Assuming that's possible / easy with the engine you used. It didn't interfere with game play, but bits of the screen went out on my end.
Thanks all. @jwolf - that's a good idea, I hadn't realised until tonight that the window is slightly taller than my laptop screen.. annoying!
Cool game! Did however get stuck at the base and it took a while until I figured out you're able to drive backwards ;) Graphics could be improved, audio on the other hand totally fit the atmosphere =) Good work!
Wow, what was actually a really good, but short, game. Reminded me of a game I used to play a while back. The game works flawlessly on Linux under Wine.
Pretty good game, I would have chosen the arrows instead of the mouse to drive the harvester, but that would have been too easy, right ? Interesting way to limit the world.
Would have loved arrow keys to drive instead of mouse, but otherwise solid!
Didn't get the Linux version to work, but the windows version worked in Wine. The speed was broken though, the car moved impossibly fast unless you held the mouse really close to it, and also the time bars when mining disappeared long before the mineral was extracted, leading to a lot of confusion.
I would suggest moving to cancel, rather than clicking on the item.
Also crashing into stuff was not obviously a bad thing.
fun game!
mouse instead of arrowkeys a little strange, but you get used to it.
good graphics, nice world, theme fits
A good job!
Really nice! It took me a while to figure it out, but once I did it was really fun.
Cool atmosphere, really enjoyed the music and sfx. Worked well together in creating a dark vibe.
Controls felt a bit tedious though, got stuck a few times which doesn't help in a game where time is essential ;)
But the game had me captivated for a few minutes. Well done! :)
Fun little game - would be great for touch controls - tablets, phones, and the like.
Can't run it on Linux:
./escape: error while loading shared libraries: libGLEW.so.1.6: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
Probably because it's a 32 bit binary.
@Martin Vilcans - I've uploaded a new archive for Linux which contains two statically-linked binaries for 32- and 64-bit - give it a go if you get chance please!
Nice audio. The game had a disturbing feel to it. Liked the intro screen. Nice work.
Good work on the sound! Controlling the rover is tricky at times but the gameplay is challenging and fun overall.

Ohhh, a slightly more sinister entry! Made me feel like I was stuck in a B-Movie with the approaching wall of death! Think I lost something in the readme though as it didn't seem to harvest anything i drove over although that oculd just be me. Good effort, nice to see something a bit dark :D
