Jump sound was annoying but I like the kitten nomming sound.
I think the round world concept would have benefited from a more zoomed out camera. Or maybe a camera zoom in/out at the start/end or both.
Twas interesting, well done :)
The world and setting was nice, the gameplay itself could have been more involved.
My eyes are still flashing... the rotation effect somehow hurt them ^^ Ok, I liked the nom-sound, but the rest was not much to play.
Poor kittens. I had trouble with the collision and jumping, it made going over water rather tricky sometimes. But then, sometimes it didn't register that I'd fallen in water.
Rotation effect was cool, though.
I also couldn't get Silverlight working, it wanted me to enable hardware acceleration but I couldn't figure out how. Blame Microsoft :(
For those of you trying to get Silverlight to work, I had to start it separately and enable hardware acceleration.
To enable hardware acceleration click with the right mouse button on the game, select "Silverlight" from the context menu and in the window that opens check for the permissions tab.
The graphics seemed really inconsistent. The rat and the background and the kittens were all of different and clashing resolutions, and the animations were a little jarring. The gameplay seemed like you were just holding right and jumping occasionally. The premise beyond that seemed a bit nonsensical, and the engine seemed to struggle with collisions.
The jumping mechanic, especially in regards to the water, is a little to difficult to deal with. I just started holding down jump the whole time to get through things.
i liked the point where tha rat touched that small rat and a strange sound played :) gamplay was a bit lacking though.
Ran really fast, is that what the hardware acceleration was for? The radial world was neat, gameplay not so much.
Couldn't get hardware accel working. Said it was enabled but game still wouldn't load :-(
It wont start - after 5 minutes of installing silverlight updates it keeps telling me to enable GPU acceleration on the Silverlight plugin page. What Silverlight plugin page? I have googled for a solution to this but found nothing, looked at the settings in chrome://plugins/ and tried the game in Internet Explorer also. But after a lot of trying I simply cannot get it to run :(
Apparently my computer doesn't support hardware acceleration? Huh. Looked promising, oh well :( Silverlight is a really restricting platform target.
Had the same hardware acceleration problems with silverlight as well in both firefox and ie on win7 64.
It's not that hard to get Silverlight working ... not that I like Silverlight.
Quite good entry, but the jump sound is something i just could not stand. The spinning camera is really cool but the rodent glitches often and starts to eat kittens when you are in the middle of the jump at them.
Anyway, Good Job!
I love your reference. :D And to think I didn't believe they existed. ;)
I liked the world effect and the eating of the kittens was surprising. It was amusing though. The controls were a little rough, as was collision. Some of the graphics looked like they were different resolutions.
Good entry though!
To be honest I don't know what silverlight is, so this didn't work for me.
Didn't have Silverlight.. installed it.. and then it still didn't work. Something about enabling gpu acceleration.
Alas, I couldn't figure out how to "Please activate enableGPUAcceleration=true on your Silverlight plugin page." so I couldn't get it to go.
I'm afraid I can't run this, as I cannot enable the hardware acceleration.

I really liked the "walking around the world" effect.
The kittens were a bit blurred, and the rodent would sometimes glitches through the walls when jumping, but it was an interesting game.
