Hmm, if it doesn't work right out of the box maybe it won't work. I assumed it would because Terraria worked under Wine and it uses the same framework. Sorry about that!
A pretty nice game, though there are a few things that you should look into:
- the "total wars" text in the campaign menu overlaps the description.
- Sometimes the opponent won't make it's turn after the player has made all possible moves, thus "locking" the game at one point.
- What if the player wants to end his turn after summoning a warrior/ranger? The only solution would be to make all possible moves. It's not a big deal for this small game, but it is something to keep in mind.
- The "Total War" campaign crashes randomly. Now you did mention that this campaign is buggy in the Read Me, but it shouldn't be game-breaking nonetheless.
- What does the MOB mean above the player's summons? It seems like a text that shouldn't be there.
My initial thought was "Man, if there was a Tiger Electronics game that played like this when I was growing up, I probably would have actually put down my game boy for a bit!"
An odd bug I noticed:
- I'm not sure how I did this, but it appears when I try to summon a warrior from the territory I capture, it tried to make a large amount of units, followed with the summoned noise repeatedly and then the game being stuck. The turn counter in the top right rapidly increased as well. Managed to make this happen twice in two loads.
Still, good job!
I had the same problem as feyleaf. I did get to play a game though. It was pretty fun. I guess the losing sound was the glitch at the end ;)

It was a pretty good experience. The mechanic took a minute There was a glitch in the battle vs. red, where my ranger attacked, and the game just locked up and began constantly repeating the attack sound.
