-Comments:
Monkey Armada team is glad to present Tiny Ranger as a concept with a lot of potential.
I'ts been a wonderful time developing this game and we have learn a lot, and we know we'll learn from the post mortem for sure.
We would have liked to dedicate a few more hours to the project, but our time is limited and so is the dare's. But that's the beauty of the experience.

Nice artwork and atmosphere for the game, just needs a bit more enemy complexity/ difficulty if the game were to be expanded beyond the first level. Great work!
I love the graphics and sound, and the gameplay's off to a good start -- I ran into one Sucker, though, that kept blinking in and out of existence depending on where I was standing. Made it a bit tough to shoot.
A shame you didn't have time to bring more features or content into the game. The artwork is amazing. It also plays very well.
I was looking for this game!
I saw it on the front page while i was working on mine but did not get a chance to try it untill now.
Really like the limbo-like art,and the gameplay is good too.
Overall good job.
Very nice art-style, reminds me of Limbo. Great sound too. Good work!
Nice game. The linux build crashed during initialization on my machine, but the windows one works fine through Wine.
It also appears that all numbers (health and stuff) is written using scientific notation. My health is "1.0000000000E+02". Made me lol. :)
Good looking, nice sounds, interesting idea. Nice work!
***I'm posting this on all non-browser games I bring up in an attempt to encourage folks to make browser games next time around. Do not take it personally.***
When hundreds of people make non-browser games, that means that, to play all of the entries, I would need to download hundreds of games to my computer. I typically use OS X, so Windows-only entries are particularly inconvenient.
Please consider making a browser game next time.
It left me wanting more, which is good. You could definitely expand on this and end up with a really rad game!
While it's a nice game with a nice concept, some subtle things are really holding it back.
First the collision detection with the ground confused me a bit at first, I couldn't see my character and thought he hadn't spawned yet or something, then I realized he was slowly going up the ground.
I like the fact that the stage is circular (as a tiny planet) but maybe it's just me but I think you die too easily. Like I can barely manage to go 30 seconds without losing, and he doesn't fire nearly fast enough. I think if you had simply made him fire faster and made the game more lenient, then all it would need is some upgrades or new content to keep the game interesting (different types of ships etc..) and the game would be very awesome.
Nice job overall!
Nice style, really ties everything together. A little short on features.
Great graphics :3 the gameplay is a bit dull, but the game itself looks really good ^^
Oh, another game for my silly collection "indie-games-that use-silhouette-visuals"
http://tequibo.com/limbo-and-friends/
Nice style but I found it awkward to kill the things without just dying.
The graphics are well done, love to see your next entry in August.
I rather liked it, however I felt that it became -markedly- easier to defeat the enemies when you happened to have two of them stacked on each other. Yes, you get drained doubly fast, but you only need to shoot once, and you're likely to get back more of your light.
Thanks for all the feedback! We want to work a bit more in the gameplay so all of your ideas are really apreciated. Hope to ear more from you!
I liked the gloomy atmosphere. The game seemed a bit plain but fun to play nonetheless, I would love to replay a version with more features! Good job =).
I'm sorry but I seem not to be able to run this game. I'm on a linux machine and I was really glad to see a linux game (besides mine :p ), however I installed all the required libraries but it doesn't seem to work.
The game starts, has some graphical glitches, and then it segfaults. Here's the console output:

Morgawr, it's a common problem, that the programmer makes his game on Windows and he doesn't care case sensitivity in filenames. I think the game try open some files from Media directory, which it's can't found.
I looked into the exe and it seems to me that every file names have correct caseness :)
Very well done graphics, very stylish.
Is there an option to resize the window? Be careful with that--I couldn't see how much life I had left on my end.
The windows is locked to 1024x768.
You should see always the life label inside, will take a look.
Great mood and theme!
The window was a bit too big for my screen so I couldn't see the photon meter at the bottom. But after realizing this and removing my windows task bar I didn't have any more technical problems.
Gameplay wise I think there's a lot of potential as a space invaderish kind of game, but after I figured out that I could just move next to a sucker and shoot the game became really easy and I stopped playing after 5 planets with no variation other than more suckers.
I'm not sure if you're supposed fire at the enemy when they're not "sucking" but I think this could work if they didn't blink as fast. Also I think a bit of horizontal movement on the suckers could go a long way to make it more challenging.
Anyways, I loved the mood in the game and it felt really well polished with the instruction screen being a really nice touch. Also the the planet "map" in the corner was really cool. Good work!
Beutiful little game, it's bit of a luck do you win though, sometimes there is just no way to defeat all enemies in time because you travel around the little planet so slowly. Great job though, great graphics and gameplay while simple it works.
I like the concept but I think I would have enjoyed it more if you were really protecting the planet's life. Turns out only the hero can die. Nice overall graphics and ambient. Phtoshop grass brush ? :)
I really liked the graphics, the inspiration taken from limbo is notorious. However I found it a bit repetitive and in the end too easy. It still works great and has a very nice idea behind it.
Thanks for all the comments. Keep on because they are really valuable for us. We are fixing some bugs for a post compo version. More news soon.

Simple, but effective gameplay and graphics. Reminds me of Limbo a bit. This would make a fun phone / tablet game, methinks.
