Ooops I thought the original comment didn't load.
One peeve tho: Too hard!
Fun shooter! But something about "Dr." Nano feels off.... DOES HE EVEN HAVE A MEDICAL LICENSE HUH
Looks great! Loved the particle effects. It was really hard for me (couldn't get past the first boss), but I think that's because I was getting a poor frame rate (my current computer's fault, not yours), and I really suck at these sort of games (my fault, not yours). I'll replay it on my better computer later.
Cool SHMUP, very playable and fun, but I don't have a 1080p monitor. So I couldn't enjoy it fully, I suppose. :-P
Also, being microscopic is the exact opposite of "Tiny World" for me, haha.
Thanks for all the kind words, guys! As usual, me being the coder who made the game (and playtested it while working on it umpteen times) can blast past everything on the first life. Naturally it is pretty tough ig you don't have: 1. practise, 2. 60fps, 3. widescreen monitor, 4. experience with bullet hell games.
That said, for a little prototype I'm so happy that it works on your computers. I really appreciate your playtests and comments!
Loads of lovely particle effects and runs super smoothly. Good fun too!
Woah, a bullet hell shooter, with some really awesome graphics, matching sounds and Boss fights. In 48 hours? Which makes me feel like I was playing the cartoon video game version of the film Innerspace? I used to play through Ikaruga a lot whilst I was at uni and I only made it part way through level 3 but it was really good fun to play also. I lost the patient... Nooooo! Excellent game!
Nice complete shoot'em up. Sounds feel very coherent. Game runs smooth and and fast for me. Reminds me of the good old "Metal Slug" days :)
Gonna use Dr. Nano for some practice and then dig out some of those again.
This is fun. I like it. I can't believe this can be made in this short time. Well done!
Gotta hand it to ya--never thought I'd be using bullet hell streaming techniques for an LD game. Still couldn't make it through level 3 though, so that makes me *sadface*. Great job anyways. Noticed the firing rate wasn't always constant--is that due to a limit on the number of active bullets at once? Or is that just keyboard controls coming into conflict when I move diagonally?
Also, sprite-based particle explosions? Nice.
A bit too flashy for my machine(far from 60 fps) but I think I pt up a decent fight regardless.
Truly fun game! Sometimes I got a little bit confused, but I loved the size of the screen and graphics too. Maybe the explosions didn't match the overall style, but it's a minor detail.
This is awesome, and I love the art. For some reason I was unable to shoot while going diagonally up and to the left. I could go in every other direction while shooting, but not up and left. This is a fantastic prototype though, great work.
Cool SHMUP. Very polished and nice idea with the mini doctor :)
Most of the complaints I have are just problems with shmups in general, so I won't hold them against you. That said, I felt there was some incongruity between the fancy particles and the cartoonish characters. Needs a more distinct visual style!
