Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111111111one
Thank you so much! God! i am SO happy about your response. I mean, no one would even look at a game that look so ugly like this one... Really! this made my day, thank you. The thing is. that i can't fix it for THIS ludum entry... or can i?
I enjoyed the graphics of the game and the music seemed nice. I found the character sprite quite humorous too! Still, I felt the difficulty curve was rather steep - perhaps you should have had the enemies start off slow and then get faster? Still, I think it's a great first compo entry!
haha this totally reminded me of one of those NES games that was so damn hard but you couldn't stop playing it - so for that I salute you! I dug the way your hp increased again slowly. I have only killed 6 viruses so far though haha!
Very difficult to play on a touch pad, it's good for a first timer.
PS No, no updates until after judging (rules are here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/rules/ )
I think the main idea is good, actually its a bit too hardcore for me. I agree on having different color/textures for your shots and the enimies one.
Hey, this is LudumDare there's no game too ugly. Everybody knows how difficult is to do a game in such a little time ;)
Whoa, need the reflexes of an 80's Galaga champion for this one. :)
Nice back story and game concept, was a little too hard for me though, would have preferred a few easy attack waves with a progressive ramp-up.
But that's just me, it hasn't affected my scores, I liked it!
It was really difficult. The enemies move extremely fast and fire extremely rapidly. Everything seems to work well though.
I liked the sound effects and music.
Maybe have the enemies drop something when you kill them to gain some health with as well?
Thanks everyone... thank you very much... this is my first ludum dare... and after all this... i'll do it again! and again AND AGAIN! *manly tears were shed*
Oh and what program did you use to make the music? Sounds great!
@robproductions
I used fl studio with 2 free soundfonts! snes and ultimate
genesis soundfount (found esily on youtube)
but i could have used lmms, that is free and everything... though i am not very fammiliar with it so. FL Studio! :3
Wow... It's nice and all but man, this is hard ! Like some of the above, ennemy are maybe a little bit too fast and you can't know if it's you shooting at them or them shooting at you. I know we're suppose to do 300 but come one... I do 10 at most :p Anyway, cool game, some will LOVE it.
As most people already pointed out, it would be great to be able to distinguish my bullets from enemy fire. Also enemies are way too fast. It has a good retro feel to it but combined with modern bullet-hell games, so it's a good mix despite the flaws.
The music was pretty good... there were too many bullets though, the game was too hard!
Nice music! Good game, it's a bit hard, but it's fun. Storing the highscores would be great.
Thanks again everyone! perhaps sometime in the future i'll fix this and maybe continue the idea... and maybe finish it ^_^
This is one of the best soundtracks this LD! Graphics were nice too, only the goal (300 kills) is a bit high. Once you got a hang of the bullet dodging, it resolves in a lot of grinding.
It is hard to see the shots, you is an easy target at the begging of which wave and is hard to hit/avoid enemies and bullets.
But, I liked the concept and the music!
Great job at your first LD, I hope I see you again in the next!
Well, maybe it's just my netbook but it took a really long time to load and when it did I died about instantly. Happened twice and.. well, it's probably just my netbook. Also because of playing on a netbook, the game goes right outside my resolution (1024*600)

The music and graphics are interesting. I wish I could distinguish my projectile from the others. The enemies seem to move too fast, and combined with the fact that I couldn't tell that I was shooting made me feel somewhat unsatisfied. It was difficult to time shots since I couldn't tell how fast my bullet was going. Nice frantic pace, though.
