April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
A short and simple platform game with a "twist", Pivotation is a joint project between King Kay and ScorpionR95. Being our first project, it's understandably rough around the edges. It is, however, imaginative and heartfelt, and we hope you will appreciate that and enjoy our game.
Neither of us can write music, so credit for the song "Bells" goes to Electronic Orange Juice.
NOTE: This game is a .exe file. We're really sorry Mac users. :(

Awesome graphics and awesome gameplay. Levels looked so more complicated now that they were round
Really enjoyed the music, graphics and level design, so there's very little room for complaints! I think having checkpoints more often throughout the level (maybe whenever you got some "artifact") would have made it a bit less frustrating, but really, I think this was a really good interpretation of the theme (similar to mine, actually) and I really can't complain. Good job!
And I kissed a girl at the end <3.
Fun game :), well done! (just don't like starting all over for hiting a cactus)
Cool concept and excellent level design! I think you guys should keep working together because you have made something nice here!
Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm really happy you enjoyed it!
@Robconzzens: We're really sorry! :( Unfortunately, I couldn't find any way to publish Game Maker games on OSx, and Game Maker HTML is kinda out of the question (cuz I'm broke).
@Fireblend & Dracir: Critizism noted! It's hard to tell how difficult a game is when you're already intimitely familiar with it. I'll make sure to ask others to play-test our entries in the future and adress their complaints. Every bit of feedback helps, so thank you!
A very nice concept with very nice art. I like how you can see the next "world" through the centre of the current one.
But damn, this was the most frustrating Ludum Dare 23 game yet. This is mostly due to bugs with jumping on slanted surface which constantly sent me down into lethal objects. This bug ruined the gameplay experience for me and forced me to quit on level three. If that were ironed out, then I'm sure it would be quite fun.
That was pretty awesome! I love the rotating world effect you created, it was a bit dizzying as you got closer to the center since the world rotated faster but it wasn't bad enough to keep me from playing. Getting the items to open the walls didn't really make too much sense since it happened instantly and sometimes I didn't immediately know what section had opened up (like that blue forcefield looking thing on the last level). Overall though, felt really good and looked just as awesome.
Great game, very inventive. The graphics remind me of old school Sierra games. My only hang up was it was a bit hard to control my guy.
I agree, the rotating world is great! Lots of fun. A little hard to jump at times.
Good submission. I did have some difficulties with the jump registering in some situations (if I was rotating the world, sometimes it would thing the character was falling and they wouldn't jump). Other than that, very nice!
Loved the graphics. The gameplay is fun and the lenght is just right. Good entry
the controls stick a little and you should allow to jump while walking, great game, congratulations.
Freaking awesome man! I love the pixel perfect collision, music, rotation, level design, and how you must reach the center of the world to continue. Congrats on finishing a game of high quality(and on time!). Thanks!
Pretty fun considering it was made in Gamemaker. Loved the graphics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5yfgXhAnPY

I love it. The art is amazing and I'm a sucker for chiptune music. Congratulations on finishing LD23!
