April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
Journey into the heart of a computer and fight for your freedom while a programmer tries to eliminate you. Features voice acting, sound, music, puzzles, an original story and more.
This is my first attempt at making a 3D game, making a game with sound, and more importantly, making a game with an actual story. It was a crazy experience. I need some sleep.
I hope you enjoy it. I had an excellent time making it.

[edit: An early playtester didn't notice the brief message informing him he could hold SHIFT to run. The game is super hard without it so you might want to make a note that shift is awesome and may improve your experience if used once in a while. Also, undocumented, you can press escape to quit the game. You'd probably figure that out on your own though.]
[Bonus: Try to find the easter egg of me making the AW YEAH face.]
[edit 2: Win32 link fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.]

wow, that was a good looking game! humor was great, and the platforming was fun, best game I've played so far. my only problem was that sometimes the camera would get annoying and block my view, moving it a bit higher would solve that problem. other than that, great game! 5/5 :D
this game looks neat but the 32-bit executable is looking for a data folder. I tried using the 64 bit's data folder but to no avail. Drop me a message if host a web version or something, I'd like to try it out.
Definitely the best LD23 game I've played so far!
I like the concept a lot, but there were some minor things that bothered me. The text isn't up long enough to read, and it's white so it's invisible against some objects. The graphics were awesome!
WOW - AMAZING work mate! This game was fun to play, and had me hooked on the story line! At first I was like, Oh, no, not another tron-themed ripoff, but it was really really well done :)
Feedback:
* The mouse didn't lock on my mac - meaning I had to keep moving it back to the center of the screen (a bit annoying).
* The voice acting really made the game - great work.
What font did you use for the programmer text?
AMAZING!
The graphics are really good! I also liked the voice overs, but sometimes the text disappears too quickly.
Fun entry. Enjoyed the programmer dialogue and sound effects in general fit really well. Gripe: the camera was the toughest foe. Good work and congratulations on finishing!
@aaronnoswell It's funny, I had a friend ask me that same question. The font was ARCADE from 1001 free fonts. http://www.1001freefonts.com/Arcade.php
Thanks for the kind comments.
Great mood, great graphics, and even though a little repetitive the narration kept me playing. A little graphical weirdness here and there, but amazing nonetheless. Good job!
Brilliant! Love the look of the textures and really like the sounds. Slight camera clipping issue, but you did some amazing work in 48 hours!
Great game. Definitely one of the best in LD23. Liked the audio.
Very nice. Graphic style is great, only suggestion I'd have for an updated version is something in the background.
The mouse issue is a bit of an annoyance, but it's the only problem I had with the controls. Good job!
That was awesome! Very polished, cool graphics, cool sound. Really liked your humor :)
I thought the graphics looked very nice, and I enjoyed the concept. I noticed that the camera often clipped through geometry, and tried to rotate back towards its default position though.
great game has a portal-ish feel.
Had a great ime playing it.
Great job :)
I find a lot of these unit games feel more like 'levels' than games. I'm not sure what goes into them, but you put a decent amount of content into this game and it's clear you know what you're doing when it comes to visual style. This entry could have become a 5 star entry if it just had some music.
Cute game with a cute concept. Fantastic work for 48 hours. My only suggestion would be to make the camera view from higher up so that it clips less.
Wow man, that's a superproduction! Amazing to get all the graphics and shaders done in such short time! The camera is really the only big downside, but I think it's difficult to code camera in such a short time. Anyway, great entry! :)
Camera was a bit wonky, but everything else was well thought out and polished. The audio snippets really added to the coolness factor of the game.
That art style!
Love the back-chatter from the programmer, adds a lot of depth to the world.
The camera got buried inside geometry a few times and made it hard to see what was going on, but it's only a minor gripe.
With a little polish and a longer story, I'd pay real money for this game.
pretty good start. camera and mouse-look need some help. I had fun.
It took me a minute or two to figure out what was going on, but after that I enjoyed the hell out of this game. The camera and controls need a little work, but this is a really nice, stylish game with a great concept.
OMG! That was amazing. It's hard to believe you made that in 48hours.
I agree that the camera caused some problems.
I also didn't see that you could hold shift to run, and it felt like the difficulty was just right... you might want to drop that feature.
Visually awesome and great theme! One suggestion - the controls are slidey and floaty and that makes precision platforming pretty tough. Maybe dampen the player's momentum?
pretty fantastic, loved all the dialogue. The kind of thing that wouldn't really work outside of Ludum Dare
The sounds and voices made me laugh xD And the visuals were very good! It was actually quite inspiring :D
Oh man, I want more levels. I love the aesthetic. Great mood going on with the entire piece. Well done =)
You say it features music, but I can't hear any on my mac.

Love it, the visuals are smooth and the concept is good.
