April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
Whew, third main LD, and I think my best entry to date.
It is, of course, a platformer (Of course it is). Everything's basically explained in the game better than I could do here, so y'know, go play it.
I'll put a link to a downloadable Windows .exe in a couple of days, since the Flash version tends to be a bit jittery sometimes. For now though, just play that.

A platformer with witty dialogues! :-)
Please change the pick-up sound, it's pretty annoying! But I liked that hitting enemies isn't too punishing, I hate it when I die every step. Keep jamming!
The ending cutscene was great... but even better is the hidden bonus animation!
Nice job Zed
Nice. I like the mouthmade sounds and the writing but the graphics aren't that great imo.
It reminds me of Tiny Hawk with enemies and without the nice skateboard pysics.
Dance. Dance. Dance. Dance. Dance.
Really repetitive though. Various types of enemies would have been nice.
It was a lot of fun. Loved the feel, sound effects and art style.I'm thinking voice effects is a must for my next game now! :)
This is playable, looks good, the writing is funny and the sound effects are entertaining.
You're creative enough to put a spin on the gameplay as well as the art and writing. Maybe next time you'll take a risk there as well.
Good fun. Learning to play the bounces off the bad guys was interesting. And I definitely appreciated the "gentlemanly upgrades" for high scores!
Not as innovative as usual, but still amusing and very fun to play (especially using the bad guy to jump higher^^)
I particularly liked the bounce back from hitting enemies. I think I ended up being cost time overall from trying to jump into them and turn around real fast to get a boost forward.
Cool design, Everything was active wich is cool. and using the bad guys to get up things was fun too ;p I would have liked something as a bonus star
Nice platformer with cute graphics and weird though somewhat amusing music/sound effects. Good job! :)
Nicely done, I didn't expect such polish and atmosphere from the initial screenshot.
Fantastic art and audio, the bonus was pretty awesome. I liked the platform playstyle, especially the one way platforms. It was difficult to use the rebounders effectively half the time seeing as they were unpredictable at best. I don't really think it fit the theme other than the ending and just the story saying you're small. Didn't have much of a mood, but it's a weird category anyway. Was pretty fun too, but a little repetitive too.
Fun game! I really love the different atmosphere in each of the levels. Seems like a pretty complete game for 48-hours!
I concur that the pickup sound was annoying.
Otherwise, though, it was a fun platformer with some charming, simplistic graphics.
Literally LOLed at the bonus :)
Seems like it would have taken quite a lot of effort to actually lose any of the levels.
I loved the sound when you completed a level. Simple, but fun.
the sounds were priceless. especially the 'level complete' tune. talent.
I like your use of bad guys as hindrance instead of weapon. I used a similar idea with my game. As always your style and sense of humor shines through. Just one question though; Why does the spaceship look like a hat? :-P
The Bad: Very Basic art, very repetitive game play.
The Good: Everything else, the music and writing were awesome, really well done, and a bonus to boot. Bravo Sir, Bravo!
Great game. I really liked the art (background, especially) and the monocle. Pretty fun stuff.
I liked the art. Especially the cheese castle in stage 2 was cool :D
Many levels, which is nice. Graphics didn't strike me as too fancy, but what are we programmers to do? Music was good (do da da do do da doooo!) and the platforming and controls were nice. Collision detection and response with monsters were a bit off though. Nice game overall!
I love platformers so, yeah, like this one. Art looks childish, and childish is great sometimes. Classics always work.
the art looks nice and it a fun plataformer.
really enjoyed the humor.
I really enjoyed the writing, but the gameplay felt like a chore... Still, it was worth enduring just to see the bonus ;)
I thing shooting would add a good aspect to it. not too much to the theme
The gameplay was fairly basic I felt, and a little repetitive, but I still finished the game thanks to the brilliant dialogue. It was genuinely funny; I thought the line about the "Convenient Plot Device" was a master stroke!
Interesting game. Kind of basic game mechanics but at least you don't get punished for making mistakes :) As everyone else said, best part are definitely the witty cutscenes and the humour overall. Also enjoyed the variety in level designs!
Nice platformer action. Goo plan with the cut scenes and bonus footage, where's THAT guy's monocle huh? :) Best robot platform game based on monocles and Gentlemen Space Adventurers I've played thus far. A Complete game including a nicely animated ending to boot. More enemy variants would be nice but, in 48 hours that's probably asking a bit much when there's already a lot of good stuff here.
Hope you get some good feedback on kongregate and the game develops further in time.... and space ;)
Surprisingly, the graphics in the game are a-ok. I love the sound, and the music overall.
Very simple game, but it's a classic score attack style platformer. Very retro
I like it. The game is visually very impressive, and it's fun to play. I would have made touching enemies fatal, but that pushing thing is annoying enough.
Hilarious little game, there could have been perhaps bit more types of enemies.
I like the shaky graphics style...the collision were a lil buggy sometimes. sweet game! sometimes the monster just hit me and send to upper platform :)
good graphics, not bad levels.
I think is a bit basic mechanics.
Maybe not as various regarding difficulty but it was a fun experience :)
Thank you for mute option. I appreciate your other sound effects but the repeating sound, when player gets a packet ( or whatever ) is really annoying. Otherwise, good game.
Great dialogue; my favorite part was that by giving even stationary objects animations everything seemed to be alive. Nice job!

Good stuff! Only a couple of minor complaints about the game. I overlooked the instructions at the start as I didn't want to read through all the text so it wasn't immediately clear that you had to go back to the ship after collecting all the critters. Also I thought the game was a bit too easy. It wasn't until the 3rd level that I got hit by a grey thing and after I learned they didn't kill me I was a lot less careful about playing through the game (the grey things even helped me in places!). Don't get me wrong though, I loved this game. The movement was great, the humor was gold, the graphics and audio worked quite well. The storyline dialogue actually made me really want to play through right to the end which I'm glad that I did because the ending was super cool! Great work for the 48!
The gameplay would've desperately needed variation, it got tedious quite fast. For example, the one-way floors had potential for puzzles, but they never came. And neither did I.
Got pretty repetitive but the ability to use the evil blocks to bounce around was really interesting.
Forget about art style, the wholesome holy glory of this game is the audio. Sir, your audiousiousness (???) it's quite impressive. When you finish a level, and in the "Lava level", the song was a great choice, if you didn't make it yourself. The Sexy Dance bonus, the level select option... I absolutely had NO expectation about this one, LOL. Glad I found a surprise. Keep that witty humour! I would like to see this with better art style: AND BY THAT I MEAN KEEPING IT SILLY, but more refined, as in the lines and borders being of the same anchor, as an example.
I LOVED the "level complete" sound effect, but despised the jump sound.
The music is a bit repetitive, but the "duh du-du-du-du-duuuh" at the end of the level is the best sound i've heard during this LD. =D
Really nice game! I like how the enemies don't kill you, they just get in the way. The art was simple but the cartoon style worked and the different backgrounds/colors were interesting. And you even managed to fit in a detailed backstory. Great job overall, and the sound effects got annoying but were pretty funny.
Pretty awesome game overall. Biggest complaint is that I think the collision between enemies could use a little work. It's kind of awkward and I think the game would work better off with some kind of health system.
Overall baller game though
Oh.wow. Was a bit skeptical of all the ratings, but decided to give it a go anyway. So glad I did! This is just a plain, all around, fun game! Really like the art and sound. Thanks for creating this!
the motion with the shaking made it feel unsmooth, otherwise a good entry.
Fun and good-looking. Not a gameplay breakthrough by any means, but the tight controls and the funny dialogues made me keep playing. Good job!
A bit repetative. I experienced an emergent (i think) use of the enemies that they helped me cross a few gaps when I learned where to land. Nice music and ambitious sfx, I really like that. :) Nice sense of humor to it as well. Nice done!
Well polished game - nicely done! The humor was terrific - I loved the storyline, and I also discovered the "sexy pants dance." Nice homemade sound effects as well. One critique would be that I felt like the fun factor was a little bit lacking. Perhaps you could add another gameplay mechanic to spice up the levels. Overall, excellent job for 48 hours!
Hehe! Fun game! I liked the graphics style and dialogue especially!
I say old bean, frightful business with the Convenient Plot Device, what? Spiffing job though, old man. Capital.
Impossible not to love this! The bonus was definately worth sticking to the end for :D
Awesome platformer! Loved the artstyle and the combination of the recorded sound effects and background music. Really enjoyed playing through it. Great job.
It is a very simple platform. I like the sound effects and the music, and the art is OK, but I hadn't much fun with this game, and I don't usually enjoy this kind of "humor", so I skipped pretty much all the dialogs.
I tried to play this game but I got blocked by a "join now" wall and a forced ad video. This is why I don't play games on kongregate.
So I was like - "ok, this game has annoying sounds, but I like the gameplay. The graphs are not bad. I would have stopped playing by now, but they implemented unlockable bonus, so let's stick to the end to see that"
And then I got the unlockable bonus - please give me those 5 minutes you stole from my life, you bastard! :-P
Lol, nice game, nonetheless :-)
Wish I had some sexy pants. Well, I do, but... It would be nice to have some that don't show my hairy legs. MOVING ON...
This game was, gameplay-wise, so-so. This game, in every other aspect, was pretty good. It was nice to see such audio variety. The text was funny. Very gentlemanly. The game had a lot of graphical variety too. My main complaint is just that as the levels got bigger, the game got laggier. Although the framerate did level out as I saved more of the poor little things. Also, the enemies served as no threat to me whatsoever - I actually used them to get up to high locations easier and just hit the arrow key opposite where I wanted to go to make it there. :P
You will probably beat me this time, Zed (cause, you know, we tied last LD48), but the main thing is that we both think we are getting better! Somehow! To future rivalry~ *raises tea*.

Love the artstyle, it works quite well :). and of course there's nothing better that monocled robots with tophats.
