April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
My first time in ludumdare and i've learnt a lot. This game was actually made for the 48 hour competition but after waiting for an half hour on the page to load, i decided to wait and upload it to the jam instead, which gave me a solid three hour sleep before school :)
I turned out putting to much weight at the details and all my hard work is quite hidden, i hope you'll enjoy it!
EDIT
There are some bugs in the wed build and if it becomes to much off a problem please download the windows or mac build.

Im glad it reminds you off that as it proves that i'm doing something right! :D
I like the feel of the game, the voice is amazing. I have a few problems with it though.
The voice is very loud at the beginning, and becomes much softer after you make your first two choices. I had to keep turning my volume up and down every time I played it.
I cannot get past the challenge where you have to keep your cursor in the square. I put my cursor in the square and follow it up the screen to about halfway where it stops, and although I haven't left the square my shape still gets burned and I lose the game. Is this a bug, or something I'm missing?
Lastly, and this one is minor but still kinda bugged me. "Lasers doesn't scare you?" should be "Lasers don't scare you?".
Other than that, it was good. Something different. I would have liked to have seen the other challenges though.
Thanks for your feedback!
I'm aware off the voice problem and this is due to the fact that i made it a 3d sound (I'm currently doing a huge face palm).
I don't know whats happening at the box challenge, it works for me.
And you're right about the "Lasers doesn't scare you?". It sounded so right 3 in the morning after a full weekend of coding, but now i really understand how it bugs you!
THIS WAS AWSOME DUDE. I smiled so hard when my blue cube appeared. Instant emotional connection. Very clever. The challenges themselves could be more interesting, but the emotional connection you were able to create did it for me.
Thanks Christina, but your game still beats everything i've played so far <3 ^^
I unfortunately had the same problem as Miltage: I put my mouse cursor immediately into the square and held it inside the whole time, but the flame jets still roasted my blue sphere friend. Which sucks because I really enjoyed it otherwise and wanted to play more! :)

The voice is really awesome! The thing with holding the mouse over the square didn't work for me in the web player (not full screen). Great work on the mood.
The holding the mouse over the square thing really bugs me, for some it works and for others i does not. A real mystery :/
Clever and funny set up.
Mouse challenge didn't worked for me nether. And pressing last option in "favorite geometry" question does nothing.
I couldn't get the mouse in a square thing to work for me :(
I did really like the overall premise and the humour and mood in the voice.
I did not miss that you've randomised the speech; replay and you get different expressions. Neato :)
The game freezed when I select that "thing" (I don't know how to spell it) on right menu of cylinder. But the rest like cube works fine.
I liked this a lot! Very funny. The voice and the characterization are so much better than anything else I've seen here, and the 3D stuff works well - I was very surprised when the face turned 3D. I had the square mouse problem like the others - wouldn't work. Also couldn't click on Cylcusphere on the right, and had the softer sound after he backed away. Also, I think toslow should be tooslow, right? :-) Super-fun idea, and very cool, even if I couldn't get it all to work.
Will Edwards: I was hoping someone would notice that! :)
And i'm aware that you can't press the Cylcubere button, i was going to add an "alternative" story line if you picked that one but ran out of time. And i'm going to upload a a windows and mac version of the game that hopefully won't have the nasty square bug in it!
That voice legitimately creeped me out. +5 for mood. I also really liked how he didn't say the same thing every time. This could be a fun full game, with creepier minigames that match the voice. Release it around halloween and you'll be a millionaire.
Great mood in this game! Really like the touch of the strange setup quiz that is followed by suddenly seeing your shape there revealed. 3d audio is tough to hear when the figure backs away, and I couldn't get past the mouse in block challenge in web version (non-full screen.) I also think the first challenge to hit every key is a bit tedious and could probably be made more interesting/engaging. Great work on the voice fx too!
The web version was a little buggy, but other then that this was amazing :) The various responses made everything quite hilarious.
The voice getting quiet was a little obnoxious as I played the various shapes/colors, and it would have been nice to be able to skip his little intro, but that is just nitpicky. Well done!
Nice voice :)
I think sometimes the square task fails before you even get your mouse inside.
Very cool game! It's different, and I've never played anything like it before. The voice was funny, but it also creeped me out a lot of the time. I keep losing on the mouse challenge, but I just attributed it to being difficult to really win. Great job!

The speaking thing reminds me of Jigsaw, and the room reminds me of Cube movie. I like the overall feel of this game.
