Does something happen? I couldn't get any progress either. And I exercised every day! Excellent music, and I'm all about the as3. You use flashpunk?
peaveyj: In order for to something to happen you have to exercise AND eat every day. You'll notice the change in 2 days or so. And no, I don't use flashpunk. I know that frameworks are very cool and easy to work with and are just created for such short-term competitions like LD but I'm not a bit fan of them. The game is written in pure as3.
You're the first one I see that actually made a "Tiny world" themed game. Also your game made me pretty sad for a moment, really... people should think twice before getting pets.
Pretty solid idea but I had to reads comments here to know what to do, I didn't understand how to eat. So I'll say, good graphics, music, idea, but a bit too short as a game. Good work anyway.
Haha, that was sweet and fun. I did look at the comments beforehand so I knew what to do, but I thought it was pretty well implemented, and it fits the theme really well. Good job!
A tiny concept. A tiny protagonist. A tiny activity. But it was quite fun to play.
I escaped! Yay!
Great experience. The intro was a bit long, I tried to skip the dialogs with the spacebar and kept falling asleedp, that was weird ^^
Where was the food?
Great concept and music.
Had the same issue with the intro as Pierrec...
Well done. Made me sympathize with poor Hank! Good job capturing not just the scale implied by the theme, but also the feeling.
I saved him. Though I did have to check the comments. Perhaps a little more feedback would have been good. Well done though.
That was cute. A bit too repetative/grindy but a nice idea and pretty polished.
I figured it out and saved Hank, but it took faith. There was a little feedback with the exercising when it says "I feel strong!" and "So close!", but there was no indication that the food or sleep did anything. I guessed that I needed to sleep between, and eat before exercising based on the initial dialogue. With that said, the mood was great and I like what you did with such a limited set of pixels - minimalist-chic. It was pretty polished. You chose your scope well.
I liked the mood a lot and was really looking forward to what happens next while playing. But i was a bit disappointed by the rather bland ending after 3 days of doing the same without anything really happening. Some twist after a few days would have turned it into a better experience.
I was actually deeply moved by your game. The mood, the music, the way Hank moves so slowly, all combined to create a very believable experience.
It was short, but really cool. Congrats.
