This is so cool! I like what you were able to do with just single pixels. Overall fun to play and innovative.
Really like the concept, even though the song got annoying pretty quick :)
Even though I couldn't stop thinking that gravity doesn't work that way in space it was still fun.
Nice concept :-)
Didn't get it first before i started digging those diamonds.
Really enjoyed this one. A bit hard to control, I often moved one tile to far. Good job!
Thanks for the kind words. In the next few weeks I will be making an improved version tweaking mechanics, better music, et cetera, so any suggestions for improvements are most welcome.
Also I am impressed that anyone managed to break open the core and get out alive.
Nice twist on the boulderdash thing. Loved the planet collisions, nice touch.
Looked really good, aesthetically, considering it was made up of pixels :D
At first I didnt realise that they can fill up the tunnels pretty easily, and got a few VERY close calls when the tunnel filled and a few meteorites hit the planet right next to me, leaving me with no movement space when falling to the next planet
Got 33 so far, I never got to the center :<
Very original and innovative :D
Got to the core! The key to it is to use the purple blocks to protect you, because they block lava. It's completely not cost-effective for the risk, though. Better to keep going to new planets, got 60 that way. Normally I don't like the entries that take tiny world literally, but in this case, I'll make an exception. 5 for innovation, well done!
Some amazing puns on here already so I'll just say that was great! Good idea and really fun to play
Oh, wow. This is one of the most interesting takes on Boulderdash that I've ever seen. I'm really impressed!
Saw the thumbnail for this and new I had to play it, very fun, especially if you stick around and let the planet disintegrate.
Really cool! Great simple concept. I feel there is definitely more you could add to this game to make it a little bigger and more rewarding.
Very nice game. Solid graphics and audio. Was fun to play. What to do with the red dots?
My goodness, my favorite LD game after reviewing around 50 games. Making it into the core finally was such a thrill that I didn't mind dying there.
Batshit insane, but that makes me love it even more.
Bravo!
More games should feature cellular automata! Really nice pixel graphics, and very clever idea. Fully self-contained experience, I don't think it would be stretching the definition too much to describe it as art. I'd be interested in a little more context for the player. Who/what are you etc?
Fun idea, and a bunch of complexity not apparent from first glance. Success or failure is very random, though, depending on the rain of comets. I tried for a long time to use the bombs to crack the core, but I found them very difficult to do anything with. I really liked the flowing lava and the comets and erosion - some interesting rules and concepts behind those.
@jimmypaulin: I didn't think of much of a back story, but you are supposed to be a small drilling ship dropped from a larger mothership.
@DaveDobson: Success with the core is indeed far to random in the compo version. In the post-compo version you have (limited) flying abilities to go back up after draining the lava. This makes it considerably easier to get at the core (no bombs are required), but it is still pretty hard. The randomness can be unfair, but the idea is to be able to assess each level very quickly at the start to recognise when it is a waste of time.
I love the concept of being a pixel big. Took me a while to figure out what was going on, but I loved it.
Very cool game! I think this is very innovative and interesting. The only thing that really bugged me is that gravity doesn't work that way :P
Oh and I really love the music!
The only thing I can think to add is that it didn't even occur to me that the core was collectable. All I saw was firey death waiting to come after me. I still like the idea in principle, however.
Interesting. Nice presentation...it was very hard to figure out what was going on, though. I still don't know what the flashing red blocks do, or how to move blocks around instead of just digging through them.
The other thing that bothered me is that it gets kind of repetitive quickly...I got to 34 diamonds, and I just started thinking, what was the point?

Very innovative. I dig it.
