Wow, that was fun! My very first LD-entry. It's a racing game taking place on YOUR desk! Also has some form of story..
    controls: arrow key +space

    Tools I used:
    -Game Maker 8.1 Pro
-GIMP (learned some new tricks today!)
    -autotracker-bu + schismtracker

Driving the car really feels like controlling a real RC one. Collisions are pretty unforgiving, but still nice game!

That's a fun art style right there. I managed to break out of the track and drive around on the desk at one point, but also managed to get a clean lap near the end.

Bonus points for the philosophy books on the desk :)

Nice idea for the theme. The car physics are quite unrealistic which makes steering really difficult. I like the music.

This reminds me of Micro Machines. I liked Micro Machines. Some suggestions: Show total # of laps. (eg: 7/10) Slow down car instead of stopping it on the edges. Have some sort of interactive element. eg: A ruler that acts as a shortcut. (saves on distance, but is narrow and difficult to maneuver into) I was going to say wrong way indicator but laps seem to work in either direction.

The game is very short and I'm missing a highscore table. Other than that, I liked what you did with the theme.

I got stuck outside the track and couldnt get back several times, i liked the graphics, since they are like simple and include the theme very well. But maybe next time youll get a chance to do some more polish =)

I love the items on the desk. You get full bars for humor. One nitpick is that I was holding down the up key at the end and advanced past the ending on accident. (I did the same thing in my game!)

I would try it if you had a Web or OSX version.

It's pretty basic, but for a first 48hr attempt it's pretty good, keep it up and in a few years you'll be programming with the pro's ;)

Well... to be honest, this is good for a Game Maker game. The music was kind of clashing, though, and the whole thing was just one. Simple. Level. There weren't any goals, which made things dull; achievements would've been nice.

Sometimes I would fly off the table or get trapped on the outside of the roadway. Still a cool game though. Nice job!
