If you label one of your links "Web", people will think it's playable on the web, instead of just being a download page for the windows version.
Great job! It is disturbingly fun to crush those small people. I hope that the reason for this is that we are currently invaded by ants :)
@Mirroar Hrmm, You'r absolutely right! We didn't know that it doesn't work! Taking it down now, thanks for pointing it out :)
@MurrayL Haha thats was somehow the point with the villagers :) Thanks for the critics!
Man! These people sure build their houses in some STRANGE places. Lol. I also feel like a bad person for murdering so many people. But very funny game, really enjoyed it.
It is as more interesting and funnier according to me to try to not hurt the villagers/break their house at the beginning than to smash to bad ones. Also...Why only three lifes ? That's hard! I died at the castle and didn't want to play all over.
Like MurrayL said, jump isn't working great.
A lot of negative critics, sorry, but I'm trying to be helpful ;) It's a sweet game I would like to see improved
Thanks for the critics! Really helpful for us to know what we can make better for next projects! We wanted to make the game a bit hard because we felt that we wanted to give this community a challenge! We should have made a type of checkpoint or something thought.
It's interesting that people enjoy to not hurt the tiny villagers that kill the evil ones :P
Maybe we should continue with this game and polish it and make it more fun?
@shard123 Hrm... it works for me but I could probably add a other mirror.
@netmute That's too bad. Next time we are going to develop for all the platforms! (Computers not cellphones :P)
love how the title screen guy is like "WHAT HAVE I DONE :'("
If the controls were not made out of cheese it would have been easer to play. other than that... Really cool :D
Cool, but the guy got stuck and I couldn't move somewhere in the forth level. Other than that, great work! :D
Very buggy at best, though the graphics were decent and it was fun to try to dodge the villagers instead of squishing them.
The first time I splattered a tiny person I felt terrible! Didn't mean to! Sorry little buddy! xD
The collisions and controls don't handle as well as I'd hoped but it was definitely playable. Even beat that darned castle with the rock flinging! (The character still had the rock in their hands while the rock was flung until it hit the floor though)
Fun little game. Hope you polish it and finish it off!
Thanks for all the amazing feedback! We hope to do a post compo version and fix the darn collision handling and the other bugs! Mac versions will probably not be released, sorry! Due to the fact that this is a game maker game which only supports windows.
I tried to put it up on the sandbox.yoygames.com site for web play but It only gives me an error and says that it only is available too download due to No ActiveX or Firefox support available. This confuses me a lot!
I liked it. However, jumping was frustrating. It seems like the game forgets that you're holding right when you try to jump next to a wall. Perhaps the right arrow key is just setting a velocity when pressed and released, so holding it has no meaning? Without the source, I can't be of any more help.
Fun game, but there are a few problems:
-Deplacement is sometimes difficult
-A bit hard to see when you're taking damage
I tried to avoid walking on people at the beginning to see if I could get another line from the king, but I never managed to avoid completely destroying houses/killing people...
Haha, this is brilliant. I love how the game manages to make you feel bad for accidentally crushing all of your tiny friends. The level design was pretty clever at some places as well, placing a lot of innocent people under a collectable so that you really have to try to control your landing.
The game runs perfectly fine on Linux using Wine. The only problem I had was that the jump mechanic and collision handling seemed kindof buggy. Some times I'd get stuck to walls, some times I tried to jump but nothing happened and some times I tried to jump and it didn't jump as high as it usually does, while it worked fine a few attempts later.
Having those tiny buggers try to kill you was also a nice twist. It could have used some kind of visual indication when you die tho. I died just as I was about to move to the next level, but since it doesn't tell you, it just looked like you had cheated by placing two identical level in succession.
Great work!
Didn't beat it, but I enjoyed what I played. :)
Wish the jumping worked a little bit better.
It's a really, really good start but it won't be fun until you fix the way jumping from a standstill works. Also, gamemaker games don't always have working sound on my system so I'm not sure if you have sounds or not but I think the game needs some :).
I really like the way you can kinda roleplay crushing the little guys. You can decide if you want to be good and save as many as possible or evil and crush as many >:). I didn't beat it but it would be cool if you got a score of how many innocents were crushed at the end.

This game made me laugh - trying not to squash all the poor villagers. I ended up running around just shouting 'SORRY! OH GOD, I'M SO SORRY!' as I crushed people and homes underfoot.
Some of the jumps were hard :(
