April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
^Thats an A-umlaut in the title.
What a blast it was making this.
Since the game itself is a bit cryptic about itself I'll describe the main mechanics here:
1. By pressing space you release eggs from the bird.
2. These eggs are blue, green, brown and gold and will produce water, grass, dirt and humans.
3. You can then further drop eggs on these to create new stuff, such as a tent is created by dropping grass on a human.
4. A tent can then be used to score by raising it up via dropping grass on it.
5. Evil ghosts will kill the humans and the tent, but can be disposed with eggs.
6. The game can end in 2 ways: you can run out of eggs or one of the ground blocks touches the bird.
There is no game over screen, so whatever score you have when the bird dies or you run out of eggs is your final score :)
The game uses the brilliant html5 engine Impact

The music and (shockingly beautiful) art were all made by me. The game and story are loosely based on finnish folklore creation myth and Kalevala.
Despite some bugs I am very happy with what I got together.
I hope you enjoy the game.

I really enjoyed seeing the different ways in which things interacted, and I love games based on folklore. You should continue working on this game, it's very interesting. :)
Interesting idea! I like how it feels like a tetris game where you are creating (and sometimes destroying) life :)
Good idea, and I have enjoyed it lot! :)
Just I would like to know what happens when all the eggs are dropped.
Good job!
Very interesting mechanic, especially interesting one-button game. Struggled a little bit to get all of the interactions down, but I really dug the concept.
Gameplay is very confusing and, unfortunately not too entertaining. I really like the audio bit though. It's nice and tranquil. The concept isn't bad, but I really could've used some more direction.
I loved the idea. You should continue to develop this (better gfx, more levels).
I loved the music, and I loved trying to make sense of the enigmatic instructions (I try not to read the LD page before playing the games). It was a nice combination of reflex-based shooting and color-matching puzzle, with a strong sense of narrative built into the game mechanics. The collision seemed a bit off, and it was difficult to guess which column my element would go into when I pressed space. Perhaps some kind of guide-line would have helped? Overall, I really enjoyed it. The slowly moving background helped keep things visually interesting, and the art was servicable. While the music was good, some sort of audio feedback for the various events and transformations would have been nice as well. I look forward to playing more of your stuff in future LDs.
Cool little game. I really like the idea. Physics were a little glitchy, I had a few cubes vibrate off the bottom.
Agree with Pacifist Games, really like games based on folklore. Nice addition having the poem displayed during the game. Added both to the mood and also as a form of instruction. Nice work!
Oh now that's pretty cool! Bookmarked! Keep working on it! Thanks!
Nicely done. The graphics were a bit rough but the soundtrack and unique gameplay experience made up for it. I love the unmentioned -- yet, intuitive -- balance mechanic, which I wont spoil for anyone who hasn't played yet. ;)
It sorta caught me by surprise, but it's very elegant. Perhaps if you made the bird gradually sink unless it produces enough huts, you could milk this balance even more. But I can understand if you want to avoid too much "time-sensitive" gameplay -- it seems like you were aiming to give the player a more contemplative experience.
this was very fun and a super cool concept. had that feeling of old puzzle games. good job.
Great game! I loved the core concept and there was enough complexity in the block interactions to keep things interesting.
wow, really great idea! music good and gameplay too! Maybe an ingame tutorial would have been cool! Well done!
Nice little game. Really enjoyed it. Interesting combination of Tetris and puzzle game.
I thought it was very unique and the music created a nice mood. Good job.
This definitely deserves further evolution, keep up the good work!
Very very innovative! I also liked the (a tiny bit repetitive music). Lovely mood, lovely theme integration, lovely gameplay. Felt like a god playing tetris with the world :))

Loved it!
I got into a situation where the ghosts were passing through at layers containing houses etc but that I could not bomb :(
Very playable.
