Good work on the game - I couldn't figure out how to get past the guard though :) Would be nice to see tab-completion, and previous commands (press up to bring up last command), like bash :) Great job.
Super fun! Text adventures are shockingly underrepresented on LD and its good that you're doing your bit to correct that!
If you type something that isn't understood, you just get a blank line.
Its conventional for 'EXITS' to do what your PLACES does, so I had to restart the game a few times before learning to read your HELP.
Overall, very very nice. Good focus on game over graphics.
Looked cool but couldnt run the game :(
Do I need to install something ?

Really cool, its nice to see a text based game on here. I like the humor in it also.
Good Job! :D
Nice! Glad I'm not the only one who went text-based. Very fun, solid humor, and multiple endings/secret passages: awesome! I got two different endings; how many are there total?
I won! I wish the engine used something more like the Inform or TADS parser though. It was annoying being unable to abbreviate common commands.
aquasheep: There are three in total, but two of them are very similar.
"There is a KEY lying about" HOHOHO (i was so excited) : D. Nice job!
"I can smell the poverty"
lol
I got the "magical pretzel" ending.
I like the humour in this one. It could use a bit less typing though (with shortened commands and saves). Also, a bug and a remark.

Welcome to the land of food!
Brave Adventurer, Before entering the land of food, may I know your name?
>Yes
Ah, so you're YES The Brave, hrm?
Nice to see a text game! When I double-clicked the jar, though, nothing happened. (I get stuff like that all the time, though, so maybe it's not your game).
It's great to see a text-adventure on here. I very much enjoyed the humour and multiple endings. Some of the verbs were a little obtuse but I figured them out. Great job!
Nice work. I second @aaronsnoswell, really wanted tab completion, and "standard" infocom commands: I or INV, L, TAKE, and some shortened item names... But those are really minor quibbles.

This looks interesting, haven't seen many text-based adventure games here.
One of the funniest (fun) and funniest (humor) games i played so far. Good references, too. I kinda like text adventures (remembers me of pnp rpgs), but they don't have rates on either graphics or audio. And i didn't get the link with the theme (altough i haven't got all the endings). Overall, quite good :)
@Datw: My original plan for the game was more linked to the theme, but it was a bit too ambitious so it somehow turned into this.
YES text adventure, YES humour, YES watching the bread's every move, YES smelling the hobo, YES optional illness.
A few synonyms in the parser would have been awesome. I can't tell you how many times I typed "GET" and "TAKE" instead of "PICKUP." Reminds me of another game back in the day where you had to "FEELUNDER." You should probably pretend I didn't say that.
Anyway, that was great. If you keep making these, I'll keep playing them.
Good job! Nice to see text adventures created for LD. Five humor points for making me type "LISTEN BREAD"

It's great to see a text-based adventure game in here. This game was a lot of fun. The writing was humorous and brief enough so that it can be played quickly by anyone.
Lots of fun! Nice job.
