The graphics are nice enough and the swirly effect between screens is quite effective in creating a dreamlike mood but for some reason the game seems to (frustratingly) break down after the 3rd or 4th screen. It's still running but the guy gets lost behind the church? and there doesn't seem to be any interaction with e apart from to remove the bubble at the start. I'd like to see more of the game though :)

I love the transition effect, but as mentioned above, there doesn't seem to be anything to interact with. Is that a bug or did you not have time to finish it? The game looks like it could be very interesting though!

I just found out that Dropbox placed back the older version that doesn't have the Church outside and interaction back. Will fix it as soon as I get home.

I really really liked the transitions.

But I couldn't do anything in the game. I tried pressing E in front of each house, but nothing happened. Then I got to the church scene, and I couldn't interact with anything :-( Bug somewhere?

Having the same problems as all of the others, but I definitely do like the screen transition effect. I'd be interested in knowing how you did it. :)

Chrome marked it as virus. (But played it anyway) Liked the transition, but have the same issues as the others.

I can't play your game because I don't have Windows. Perhaps another member of my team will find and rate your game.

I just updated the file, this is the complete edition that for a strange reason wasn't synced into Dropbox.

Argo15, Siewart, I have just pulled the file through the Virus Total application: https://www.virustotal.com/file/80510c0aaedaf9c8890ed75c28e82fef9c824f87731dcaff22c9820a9321b004/analysis/1335373442/

A game should have "gameplay" within the meaning of interaction
plus meaningful decisions. The latter means among other things, that
there should be something like competition - your game lacks of it.

Here additional feedback:

- if you walk off the screen, the transition effects lasts so long,
that if you even push a single second the -> key, you are in the
middle of the next screen instead of the left side.
- in a house, you can walk of the screen (right side).
- in the last screen: if you walk fast enough, you can avoid the
right screen's collision checking.
- if you start walking to the right while the title screen fades
out, you avoid the collision checking again and the second screen
doesn't appear.
- the walking animation looks funny :)

I hope you are not demotivated or something like that. Keep going!

@Jeremias Thank you for that feedback.

The game lacks a lot, I was happy that this was the outcome since last year LD#22 we had to give up due to RL things.

But we'll learn and next time, there will be more "Gameplay" involved.

Is there any way to get a mac port of this? It looks really cool.

I liked the graphics a lot, didn't really get the rest. I kept running off the side of the screen while the blurry effect was going.

I tried playing a few times but ran into a bug that wouldn't let me get past the church. Interesting entry though.

I would play this if there were a web version. You should consider doing a web version for future games.
