April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
You'r a man on a tiny island.
You can walk around the Tiny World by selecting a little man (left mouse click + drag) and point him where to go (right mouse click). To move map, use W, A, S and D keys. To Zoom In/Out you can use either Q ans E keys or scroll wheel of mouse.
See this game as relaxation therapy.
I didn't want to chose relaxation music for you, find something good!
Every time you start game, you get totally new island, only for you. Islands are procedural generated. There is 6 types of ground; Deep water (cant walk here), Shallow water, Sand, Light grass, Forest. You can walk in Shallow water, but you'll be slower.
So... For real now, this game was meant to be and 2D RTS (economy more, war less). There is not yet finished action menu that you can access by pressing Space key.
I'll definitely finish this game (in near future), just not for this competition.

The game wont open on my machine. I tried downloading the latest .Net framework to no avail.
Cool start and nice look. Would love to see a finished game based on this.
Not much of a game, but nice terrain generation though
Do you still work on this? It has some potential, maybe not for an RTS game, but it's definitely a good start for something - an exploration game of some kind. I like how the terrain generation works.
can't run, don't have a windows machine and XNA4 doesn't run under WINE
It looks very nice. I like the idea of having to real aim in a game. Animal Crossing e.g.
However, there's really not a lot to do in this one. Please keep on working on this title. It might turn out nice.
You might consider implementing some sort of combining things you find. (See Ishisoft's game). Or add some social component, so you can make friends and share stuff (Elite on C64?). Or even build a boat and roam the seas (like Sid Meyer's Pirates)...

An RTS with randomly generated maps is an interesting idea I'd like to see done. Right now there's not much game to judge sadly. Good luck for the continuation of this project !
