The game is real funny, I like the graphics and the controls are crisp and easy.
Two points I want to mention:
(1) NEVER map the main action key to 'z' without providing an easy way to change it. Many keyboards have QWERTZ or similar layouts.
(2) You would have made live easyer for most people if you provided a batchfile to start!
For people running into trouble:
Grab the version matching your system, unzip it and make sure you have Java installed.
To run, open a terminal to the file directory and point java to the native runtime libraries provided with the game, or ,in other words, run
java -Djava.library.path=./ -jar playgame.jar (*NIX)
Instead of ./ you may have to enter
- the absolute path on MacOS - at least mine sometimes gives me trouble when I try to run with ./
- Djava.library.path=.\ on Windows? Just a guess, though, you'll have to try that on your own. Shouldn't be too hard, though.
...obviously the term (*NIX) is NOT part of the program call, I just wanted to make clear it runs flawlessly like this on *NIX-boxes.
NacMacNeedle: I hope it's easier to run now. I added a batch file and added more shooting/action keys (z,x,left control)
Like that game, just hard to hit them.
The best thing was definitely the music!
Thanks for that game!
I'm afraid your game is banned in Germany :D great game! well done :D
A lot of bugs with collision, but the game itself is very nice, the music is great too
What an efficient shotgun! I don't like that I can't shoot diagonally. Anyway I love pixel graphics and the game is reasonably challenging. :) IMO enemies move often too fast.
***I'm posting this on all non-browser games I bring up in an attempt to encourage folks to make browser games next time around. Do not take it personally.***
When hundreds of people make non-browser games, that means that, to play all of the entries, I would need to download hundreds of games to my computer. I typically use OS X, so Windows-only entries are particularly inconvenient.
Please consider making a browser game next time.
Very good playing feel... you know, the way the game feels on your fingers. Good job overall, one of the most solid games I've played on LD this time around.
Graphics were good, but Gameplay wasn't great, Totally doesn't fit in with the theme, and collision detection is beyond awful.
You got something out though, so don't think I'm slagging your game off, just providing feedback!
Problem with collisions, and I don´t think the game has something with the theme... BUT kill something like Hitler will aways be awesome!
I was able to finish it, and it was quite fun! Not too much to do with tiny world really, but still a nice game, that feels finished and even features a final peak of interest with the boss. Good work!
I'm not sure what the game had to do with the theme, but it promised shotguns and delivered. Pretty fun entry.
Fun game in need of polish. The enemies moved around like flies and made the damage done to the player seem cheap, but I really enjoyed blowing apart rocks for some reason.
Nice job.
Good work, it felt like playing the first dungeon of a 2D Zelda, which is a great thing.
I think the game would work better if there was a checkpoint (lost against the epic boss, did not want to replay the whole game) and the enemies could not run leave their rooms. One of the green bearded guys left his room, and I had to chase him, therefore his cool cave had no use.
But really liked the rest, though it did not fit the theme at all.
Besides, as the nazi enemies are shown as really stupid, there is no reason to ban it in Germany lol
fun, collision detection was a bit off, had to flick left/right quite a bit on edges, congrats on your entry!
Dang it, got to the end, found the boss, walked right into him and died. Oh well, I saw enough to rate it. I'll beat him later. I also agree that collision could be better. Otherwise, nice work!
I stole all the gold and defeated the scary monsters! yay!
Great game, a lot of fun. But um... how does it fit with the theme?
I got pretty far in this. Enjoyed it. Slight collision detection issues -- I think skinheads ran right through me a couple of times with no damage.
Good entry though.
Pretty fun game, I liked the pixel art on the characters and the title screen. The music was nice too! I wasn't always sure that I had hit an enemy though, at first I just thought the gun wasn't working. A different sound cue for a "hit" would probably help there. But, nice job overall!
I liked enemy character designs - nazies are very recognizable, yet have so little pixels.
I did not liked annoying low health sound and restarting from the beginning.
There were a lot of collision problems, so I would get stuck on walls a lot more than I should. That got really annoying. The low-health sound was also aggravating, such that when I finally died, I welcomed death. Maybe that's what you were going for.
The music didn't fit the game too well, and I don't understand how it has anything to do with 'Tiny World', but it was fun to play :)
Nice game I sucked at it though. The music is a bit wierd compared to the game and the style that it is.
Found this on indieDB and HAD to play it! It was pretty cool. Short and glitchy, but fun! Also hilarious and satisfying! +1
Not a bad game, the enemies were pretty harmless until I got to the boss which I wasn't expecting to shoot at me since nothing else in the game did. Got killed by it... The music doesn't really seem to match the gameplay, but the controls felt pretty good. Although sometimes it was hard to fit through hallways. Good job! :)
Nice game, i found the nazi somewhat "cute", the music is quite annoying especially when your bad and have to start often. The character is sometime stuck against the wall and the shotgun sometime don't shoot nazi, but the overall feeling is quite good, i can see what a full game of it may be, with some kind of indiana jones stealing nazi gold and saving girls.
I cannot get the linux version of the game. The `play.sh` practically explodes.

- I liked the pixel graphics and particle effects.
- It's fun. I played the whole game and enjoyed it :D
- The shooting and killing feels good. Haha, I mean the action-feedback of it.
- The lullaby music sounds incoherent with the concept of the game.
