April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
A shooter where you terraform the world around you for resources to aid in your survival against endless waves of bots.
WASD to move, space to use your genesis bombs. Mouselook to shoot. Protect your cities, grow some delicious plant energy, and watch out for robots! Don't forget that you can fly ;).
This isn't quite what I had in mind when I started, but I find it charming in a way. Made using Unity. I used atrk-bu.py for the music :).

Sweet! Got a score of 169. I played just long enough to get comfortable and start wanting more; always a good sign. I think you nailed the concept, and I love the design of your hero. Squishy, boxy, techno angel fella!
Nice! Really a grass growing system.
The graphics style is also very cool.
Comments!
It got too easy too quickly, I reached over 2000 plant energy and enemies kept spawning at the same rate.
The art and animation is what I liked the most, really nice grass growing animation, main character and cities.
I couldn't understand exactly how Genesis Bombs affected enemies (as stated on the instructions), they only seemed to make grass grow.
Sound and music are definitely the areas where I think there could be the biggest improvement at this stage =).
Overall, a nice and novel idea that I enjoyed briefly =).
Cute and nice to play (thumbs up for the grass and the angel fellow), a good game. Congrats
Very nice, very pretty game! I'd like a more ramping difficulty curve, but it was pretty fun as is! Nice work on the graphics.
I love the great use of non-standard shapes for the world. Hexagons never gets any love :)
i got killed while reading the instructions duue to the lack of a menu, but second time worked like a charm. Great work!
I like the art style and animations for the grass.
I'm unsure what the point of having plants really is. Are they like walls that protect you and your buildings? But they don't really seem to slow down the enemies and my score is purely based on time survived. Sure the plants give you genesis bombs but that just lets you build more plants. So the problem is that the plant game system isn't really interacting with any of the others.
To fix this, you could consider ways that the plants might help support the player or affect your score. Maybe they apply a score multiplier or slow down the enemies like I suggested.
I would like to be able to jump and shoot down at enemies from above. OR maybe have enemies that come from different locations or different heights.
Sheesh...great graphics! Pretty fun, if I do say so myself! Thanks!
I like the plant growing mechanic and the bot death puff fx.
Looks nice, I like visuals.
Constantly spawning enemies do get tiresome after very soon.
Probably, in would be better if I would only need to protect myself or only buildings. Otherwise it's a bit confusing. And it was unclear, what bombs/grass do. And I think survival is good as additional mode, but it's tricky to get it to work as basic game mode.
I liked the graphics, the hexagonal style of the world looks very good.
It wold be fun to jump on the enemies and bounce killing multiple enemies like in Mario galaxy.
Wow, I really liked these graphics! The game play was a little repetitive though, but it kept me entertained for a while. I would've liked it if the world you were on could grow more and get larger, or if the camera could move.
Very nice graphics. I love these untextured polygon faces :D
The game looked great and i really liked the sounds! But it was quite hard to aim, but still a great game!
Like most of the graphics, especially the small animations. A variation in spawn points, a nice backdrop and some mood would really improve the overall experience.
Cool dude! Enjoyable game, didn't quite get a few things at first, but it was engaging enough for me to keep experimenting.
This is definitely a great job, and I also dig the graphics. Gratz!
This was pretty fun, even though I had no idea what the plants were really for other than to look pretty and give me the bombs that built more plants. I tried using the bombs against the enemy, but that just made me land on them and killed me. But the engine is there and ready to be expanded upon, which is great work for 48 hours.

Nice job! My first game ended pretty quickly, but once I got the hang of it I pretty much dominated those pesky sawbots.
