April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
Simple handdrawn adventure about an LD programmer who just can't find his inspiration...
Simple point and click, please note that there are several ways how to deal with both basic problems in the game. Simplest walkthrough can be done probably under a minute.
Also be warned, although no actual porn takes place, there are more then enough hints. Think Leisure Suit Larry.
No sounds and music :/
Currently web version is only in unity... I'll put a flash version up later after I'll fix some problems with it.
UPDATE:
I've made a postcompo flash version and also fixed stupid bug in the inventory which was making the game annoying in web build (damn Unity GUI to hell anyway). It's a very minor bugfix, but if you consider even this small change as breaking of the rules, you can try original untouched unity version. Have fun.
(I've also added a text file with some hints on the web).
UPDATE2 : Postmortem is online.

I thought I could use the nail clippers to cut the brush to paint yellow to use as a wig to get in the house but apparently it doesn't work. The inventory is rather buggy can't get always get what I click on and sometimes I click things in the background through the inventory.
Maybe a walk through or a hint?
yes, I just found out that last time fixes for the flash version seriously broken the inventory. I'll put up fixed version asap, it's just few lines of code.
you can use piece of glass to cut brush (i forgot to add nailclipper as well), but you don't need to do this to get inside (tehre are four ways to get there)
Oh my. Neat adventure system, especially nice to see item combining and an inventory.
The design really did fit well with the game. THe cop really looked badass though i would have just thrown the hook at him :p
I couldn't figure it out, just went around and filled my inventory with various random objects...
I got as far as the bedroom but the woman kept saying that I looked too weird. It was fun, though. I wish there was a keyboard shortcut so I don't have to click OK after every dialog.
I got inside the house but didn't really know what else to do (even with the hints). I had a pretty full inventory too.
That was pretty weird, but also pretty cool. The cop made me laugh.
It's good to see a point and click adventure game, and there was a lot of nice art.
Great job!
good setup there but i couldn't reach too far :P the directions could have been better leading to some conclusions
well I managed to get her to sleep with me - I'm curious how to get to the ending shown in the screenshot though
nice game - there are clearly not enough games like this
I'm not good at these types of games and no matter how hard I tried I could not get upstairs (always took me to the scene where the clothes lines are)
oh well, besides that, it looks like it is pretty good
Tons of character, a great break from some of the more generic platformers. Nice writing, I like the style. UI-wise, I would have preferred visual cues for knowing when I move between screens. I suck at adventure games, so I didn't get far enough to comment on the puzzles. Very Freudian, there are too many asexual games.
ORNI: check text file (link on the page with game) with hints and full walkthrough for all possibilities (you need leather strips).
John_conder9: upstairs gets you to the roof and out to the alley (by jumping down or climbing if you already have ladder and grapple there). I had to cut out two screens to get it done, attic scene was one of it.
Racarate: yeah, there were supposed to be arrows showing you which way you'll move, I even have all exit areas marked for correct arrows, but these arrows were among the stuff I just hadn't time to finish properly :)
What kind of mad man has got a doll house, a gay action figure cop and an horny barbie on his desk???????? *be afraid very afraid*!! xD
Nice to play another game by you, this time totally different, an unfortunately male targeted -_- but it was well done for a graphic adventure.
In the end I gave the cop some coffee, cross dressed to get into the house, gave a jewel to the barbie and used the leather for a bondage session. xD da fuq did I just did???
Congrats ;-) keep on the crazy work.
I just love your thumbnail. haha :) Also nice to see a text based adventure game, nice one!
Nice to see someone attempting something a bit different! The puzzles were a bit obscure for me though, I had to use the hints page.
Awesome game, one of my favorite in the compo due to the weirdness and the humor of it. The interface is clunky and somewhat broken, and it's a great example of misuse of Unity (seems like it would have been way easier to make this game with the Flash IDE?) but great results.
Make A Game: sorry to disappoint you, I don't have doll house on my table :/ (there's ton of stuff there, several computers, game consoles, various disassembled stuff, but about the only thing which would fit the "inspiration" is sketchbook with some acts in there. Even player was supposed to be surprised to see his girlfriend's dolls on his desk, but that was one of the details that got left out (including rather cool outro...)... writing postmortem now with notes how it should have been.
Also sorry for you and other girl players, you're kinda minority here, so I felt safe when targeting male programmers and messing with them a bit :)
Impossible: yeah, it's misuse :) I've decided to use unity just to see if I can easily force it to do something like this. In the end it was even easier then I thought, with the expection of the stupid GUI, but that's problem in any unity game if you're using their own. I considered doing it in a flash, but I'm still mostly untouched by it, although I admit quick tests with flashdevelop and flashpunk seemed impressive and I'll definitely want to do some flash LD... maybe next time :)
Great game! I love the weird setting, the humor and the multiple solutions.
Wierd and awesome!
I really like adventure game.
Very well done.

I have seen a few point and click adventure games in the comp so far but this is the first one that actually made me think about how to logically use everything rather than just click everything onto everything else. I liked that there were multiple paths through the game. Inventory UI was a little buggy in places. Overall not bad!
Awesome to see all those arts in this amount of time. I found it pretty hard x) (without the hints). Nice job!
Amusing, colourful, interesting. You managed to do A LOT in a really short amount of time. ^_^ I dressed up and did the cop a favour, subsequently getting Barbie drunk. ^_^ It's nice to know there are other possible endings too (looked at hints page).
The style was good and I like the funny setup a lot.
I kept dropping and immediately picking up inventory items until I realized that if you click in the inventory where it WILL BE, it picks it up again instantly.
I would have liked more hints when looking at items that I couldn't use yet to let me know that I was on the right track. For example, if the brush description had been clearer about the fact that it would make a good wig but that I couldn't pull the bristles out, I would have liked it better.
Overall, a solid entry with some minor UI issues.
You made an adventure game in 48 hours, awesome!
Flash version was unplayable slow on Chrome/OSX :( Unity web player works thought.
I really, really liked the art. That must have been a HUGE amount of work.
Yes, MOAR NSFW games!
I'll second the comment about the flash version being unplayably slow on OSX/Chrome. Unity player was fine.
I had the gear for at least two solutions. I figured I'd get her drunk and THEN give her the ring, but for some reason she was a lot less romantic after a thimbleful of pure ethanol.
And yeah, she's plastic and I'm asleep. Your main character is almost as sick as mine.
Good job!
I've tried (thanks to fried PC i'm now sitting on mac) flash version, works ok in chrome (seems a bit slower, but nothing unplayable, at least on my mini). But it's nothing suprising since flash export on unity is still more like proof of concept then anything usable.
Now this was something... different, but great to see little weirder games too. The menu was pain to use and finding the correct items and where to use them was little cryptic, but did find out most of the stuff and this was okay and fun game.

Sigh, flash version has problems with delegates I'm using in dialogues, so it blocks some possible walkthroughs. I'll fix it tomorrow and post it.
Several plays and I hadn't encountered a bug, hope you'll have the same luck :)
