by Gib - 48 Hour Compo Entry

** Weeeell, Corky is kind of a failed experiment, and it looks like it's buggy as shit. So you might want to pass on this one. Truly sorry. **

Corky is a multiplayer collaborative game. There is no real goal.
You start in your own little world, with 3 other inhabitants. By placing the mouse cursor at the bottom edge of the screen, you access different buttons, allowing you too customize a bit the look of your world, his name, and the story of his people.

You can move with the arrows keys, and talk to them via space. Leaving your world will make you travel through place created by the other players. At first, the game is filled with generic world, but as soon as people will start to play, you will encounter more and more human crafted places. If you feel so, you can reset your game and start a new world by pressing the R key in game, and then by refreshing the page.

Also please, be careful on the bio of the characters. I'm absolutly not sure how my system is bug proof, so I should advise you to only use letters.

Dang it, i'm exhausted, haven't slept for 4 days, I can't barely type this thing in a proper english. More to come tomorrow...

Made with FlashPunk/Punk UI ( with a modified Yellow Afterlife theme )

Cool idea. But quite buggy, sadly. Would have loved to see some other people's rooms, but only got the same one every time. I hope you can fix it. Fixing major bugs is allowed post-competition.

I Could cutomize my room and roomates, but was unable to move (couln't see my character) and visit others room.
(Update, refreshed the game and could move, but once gone I couldn't edit my room)
I know how hard it is to have a multiplayer network game and that's too bad cause I Love the idea. The concept is similar to my last entry : having a collaborative artwork (http://samuel-bouchet.fr/ld22/)
I know you worked hard on it, hang on, I'd love to play this even after LD!

I've seen only one different room and mine didn't save, I think. Other than that, it's a nice idea and I'd definitely spend more time playing if it worked better.

Challenge completed !
I had to refresh the browser to obtain the buttons to modify the world (maybe the increase of the allowed cache size for the flash player did something too), I played a little with the NPCs and modified the tiles and hit the save button, when then I moved to another room and were not able to go back again to my room ?!
Good idea, and good start ! I think it's hard to make a multiplayer game for the LD challenge, bravo !

I love the idea ! I enjoyed customizing my world and NPC. I would have loved to stumble upon other people's worlds but I walked for a long time without seeing any.

Got to "press enter to start" screen, couldn't get further. Sorry... Sounds like an ambitious project. I'll try and come back to it later and try again.

I like the idea, but it didn't seem to work for me. My world didn't save, and every other world I visited was just the same default grey.

It would also be helpful to have a bit of instruction at the beginning. I couldn't figure out what I supposed to do at first and had to come back to this page and read your post again.

I like the idea too, but it didn't seem to be working much. I could never move my guy.

C'est vraiment dommage parce que c'est le genre d'idee que j'adore.

I couldn't get past the screen that says "press enter to start". The idea seems really interesting though.
