I didn't really know what to do at first, based on what the About screen said I thought I'd just have to collect a ton of fish. After a little messing around I realized I was supposed to kill the enemy fish. It takes a lot of hits to kill the enemies, and I found it a little tedious. My best score was 2. I enjoyed that you could jump out of the water, and I like the idea of moving around a school of fish. You should definitely keep working on it! :)
Shows promise and the underlying idea is neat but it's in a little too rough shape at the moment to have much fun with.
I was a bit confused on how to get a score, but even after I figured it out it seemed strange. gameplay probably would be better with a few tweaks, other than that though, the graphics have a very nice hand drawn style and was pleasant to look at. the movement system with the mouse was also nicely done and had a very flowy like feel, good job :)
Interesting idea. Was fun to have mobs of fish following as I take down the opposition. :)
Interesting, but I had trouble figuring out how to attack without being attacked :(
You might consider using the free Java hosting at http://StaticVoidGames.com. Just upload a jar and you'll have an actual game website. (full disclosure, I'm the creator of that site)
Nice concept. It's a bit rough though and I managed to get stuck between two big fish somehow.
Cute little game : } The game itself wasn't a whole lot of fun but i loved the graphics and feel of it. Very unique take on the comp theme as well.
This is an idea with great potential. There is a great opening for different AI. As Darkcoder said the missing objective makes you stop playing too quick.
Nice art, I like the style you have going. It took me a while to really understand what was going on - kinda reminds me of dogfighting games, how fights are a matter of who can stay on whose tail. It definitely has an unfinished feel to it, but I enjoyed what's there.
:) I like jumping out of water, needs sound and more animation but it's cool.
playing a fishswarm is real fun - especially jumping out of the water and stuff.
the art is lovely too
maybe you can do a post-compo version?
an idea might be to start with a small fish but getting bigger by eating other fish - so that you can kill even bigger fishes and become the "biggest" one.
you could also add fishhooks from "the sky" that you have to evade or something like that
I enjoyed the game
I thought i had to collect the fish? Althought it was interesting.
It's interesting, just the control is hard. I prefer arrow keys :)
Might be nice if enemy fish had lifebars. I couldn't gauge my progress.
Loved the MS-Paint aesthetic, especially the cohesion of it among the title screen character sprites and UI elements. Respect the fact that you attempted to combine Starcraft and Shark! Shark! Really disappointed that there was no music. It was also unclear when I was doing damage (when the other fish flashed) versus when I was taking damage (the fish dropping meter decreased) maybe with some better theatrics around combat this would be fun, but right now it feels like you recruit an awesome army of fishermen to do not much. I would definitely play another game with this art direction though.
Nice graphics and folow mechanics! I think with a few extra features and progression this would be really fun to play!
i kept dying to the shoggoth :/ A little confusing as to what to do and not really a lot to do after that but neat concept
This was surprisingly amusing. Would like to see more fish spawn, and maybe a little advice about killing the big monsters, but overall humorous and amusing for a few minutes.
Interesting! I think that to attack the evil fish, you just run into them? ...At least that's what I was doing and it seemed to work :D Really liked the way the other fish follow you around. Fun to play; keep working on it; Thanks!
Not sure what what the goal is.
Took a little while to figure out the health bar wasn't the player.
Jumping out of the water was a nice touch.
The game has potential.
I played this game four times. It was quite fun.
My scores were 2, 1, 1, and 2, but that didn't bother me much. I wish the theme had been Huge World so that I could have gone deeper to find more exotic fish!
Without audio feedback, and no win condition, didn't give me much reason to continue playing. Something fun about just swimming around for a while though.
I would definitely have played this is there were a web version.

It has potential, but right now there doesn't seem to be any goal. I like that you can kill the other fish, in fact you can pretty much solo all of them except the big white ones (maybe if you used the rocks you could solo them?). The game art is also very nice.
