Seeds Of Destruction

You must finish a new seedling before all the soil nutrients are used up. Use your launch pod to destroy the hostile seeds before they can land and deplete the soil.

I like that you have to aim your shots well and can't just fire in all directions like a madman.

A really nice take on Missile Command. Would like to see some combo mechanics to make gameplay more interesting. A good start!

I got walled in and lost bigtime. An idea would be if your shots stop in the growing plants they could take some damage/ be destroyed.

Very nicely done. I wish there was something I could do after a seed has hit the ground. I feel totally helpless after a while, maybe that's part of the design.

Pretty well done, but getting blocked in by a close seedling makes me feel really helpless. I think either having the shots damage the rooted ones, or having shots that can pass through them may make it feel more forgiving.

It was really hard to see the yellow cursor on the blue background. The sound was ok, but there was no music! Overall, the second most phallic LD23 game.

I like the graphics and SFX.

Gameplay is mostly what I'd expect from a missile defense game, but the added twist of stalks that grow and block your shots makes it much more difficult. There were times when one landed right on my turret and I had no choice but to wait to die. :p Maybe if there was a way to clear them once you shoot down enough seeds or something like that it'd feel more balanced. Or maybe I just suck at missile defense. ;)

I really liked the organic, dirty graphics, they did their job very well. Reminded me of the eerie feeling I got from watching René Laloux films as a kid, or maybe Naked Lunch. Good job!

Clever take on Missile Command. It's quite hard, and if a seed pod lands on you it's pretty much game over.

I don't like the fact that I couldn't shoot past the growing plants. Also, it could do with a bit of background music. But other than that, solid game.
