belief - connerbryan - 48 Hour Compo Entry

My first mostly-completed game! Also my first ever music composition for a video game :).

You are a new god. You have arisen on a small (one might say "tiny") world. Convince the people to believe in you by giving them food. Doing so will allow you to discover more worlds and gain more power through followers.

Ponder about the mysterious of the universe and spirituality. Believe!

Controls are given in-game, but if you miss them:

    A: MoveLeft
    D: Move Right
    W: Jump
    Space: Food Miracle

I liked this entry. I couldnt figure out what the end game was though. Is there one? Also might have been good to have an AI enemy god running around trying to convert your worlds by giving them food when you let them run low.
    Overall, good game.

Lacutis: Thanks! And as far as the enemy god, that was actually one of the things I wanted to put in the game! Unfortunately, I ran out of time...

This was pretty neat! I think a mini-map showing planet needs would have been helpful.

I didn't quite understand what I was doing when I pressed space, and I didn't see the point in jumping. But the instructions were rather clear.

Nice hectic-micro-management. Has some of the same ideas as black & white, of course, but boiled down to its simplest form: maintain a high number of believers by regularly performing miracles.

Would have worked better from a more zoomed-out view I think. Also, had a little trouble with the planet-jumping mechanic -- are the arrow keys supposed to really do anything mid-air?

    Liked the crayon-graphics. :)
